Farmers are being held hostage by those who are hoarding barrels of diesel to create an artificial shortage. These people are not merely dishonest traders—they are committing a grave injustice against farmers’ hard-earned sweat, the nation’s food security, and basic human values.
Our country's economy stands firmly on the crops produced by farmers. Yet some greedy businessmen are trying to fill their pockets by hiding diesel during the most critical time for irrigation, causing immense suffering for farmers.
It must be remembered that water from the GK irrigation project does not reach every part of the country. In many regions, diesel-powered irrigation pumps are the farmers’ only lifeline. Those who exploit this necessity through hoarding are nothing less than enemies of society and the nation.
We must stand united. Let us refuse to buy any products from the shops of those dishonest traders who hoard diesel and put farmers in distress. A social boycott is necessary. Those who refuse to stand with people in their time of need have no moral right to run a business in our society.
We also strongly urge the authorities to immediately identify these hoarders, bring them under the law, and ensure strict punishment. No one should be allowed to profit illegally by holding farmers hostage.
If farmers survive, the nation survives. Standing up against those who conspire against farmers is not just a choice—it is our moral responsibility.😭😭
