The Department of Urban and Regional Planning, KUET, organized the Farewell Program for the 2k19 batch and the Reception for the 2k23 and 2k24 batches on 21 September 2025 at the KUET Auditorium. The event was hosted by the URP Association of KUET. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Md. Maksud Helali, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Harunur Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, KUET, and Prof. Dr. B. M. Ikramul Haque, Director of Students’ Welfare, KUET, attended as Special Guests. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Md. Manjur Morshed, President of the URP Association and Head of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, KUET. The event served as a momentous occasion to bid farewell to the graduating students of 2k19 while warmly welcoming the new members of the URP family from the 2k23 and 2k24 batches.

Today, our new executive committee of 2025 had the honor of meeting with our President, the head of our department, Professor Dr. Md. Manjur Morshed, our Treasurer, Assistant Professor Tanmoy Mazumder and our other faculty members. We are pleased to report that our new executive committee has formally started its work after discussing our future plans and activities. Here's to a promising future!
