Resistors are the most vital component on this Electrical and Electronics World. However, resistance can be of 2 types mainly, fixed and variable but now a days the usages of both types are visible. Although fixed types are used more than variable mounted on circuit boards. According to the materials data, mica, glass, plastic, rubber, wood can be very bad conductors of current which makes them ideal material for making good resistors. Few of the components not mentioned might be available offering good resistance, mixed alloy is getting popular in contrast to other possible combinations. Supposing the discovery of this particular nature of materials by George Simon Ohm the formula states:R(representing resistance)= P(rho)(permitivity of material)L (length of the resistance) / A (cross-section area).
