We Examined the water samples collected from Dewanganj , Madargonj, Sarishabari points and 3 stations in each location( about 1km radius) We were able to evaluate them to understand the current situation of water of the Jamuna River.

Factors that were Examined-
Dissolved Oxygen
pH
Total Ammonia
Phosphate
Electro conductivity
Total Dissolved Solids

The experiments was conducted by Rukunuzzaman Zim, Md. Arifur Rahman, Hafiz Uddin, M A Shohan, Dipta K Sarker & Md Nahid Islam Shrabon

We are excited to share another ongoing research project focusing on organic feed formulation and its effects on the growth and disease resistance of koi fish (Anabas testudineus) in a controlled aquarium system.

This study evaluates growth performance, feed efficiency, and health resilience, aiming to promote sustainable and eco-friendly aquaculture practices.

Our Fisheries Research Team has successfully completed comprehensive water quality lab tests from the Jamuna River samples.

From physico-chemical parameters** (pH, DO, temperature, transparency) to **nutrient analysis** (ammonia, nitrate, phosphate) all essential tests were conducted to evaluate the river’s ecological health and its impact on fisheries resources.

These findings will help us understand fish biodiversity, environmental changes, and sustainable management strategies for the Jamuna River.

A big thanks to our dedicated team members for their hard work in both field sampling and laboratory analysis.

Location: Pingna, Sarishabari, Jamalpur

As part of our Fisheries Research Team's initiative, we conducted fieldwork along the Jamuna River at Sarishabari, collecting water and soil samples to assess environmental conditions.
This hands-on investigation contributes to a deeper understanding of aquatic ecosystems and supports sustainable, evidence-based fisheries management.
It was also a valuable opportunity to collaborate in the field and observe the dynamic nature of one of Bangladesh’s most significant rivers.

Our team:
Overall observer: Hafiz Uddin
Methodology Experts & Lab tests: Rukunuzzaman Zim & Md. Arifur Rahman
Taxonomy & Species Identification: Dipta Sarker & M A Shohan
Data Analyst: Jannatul Mawa Sarah
Field Surveyor: Nahid Islam

(This Project was designed by Rukunuzzaman Zim)
