2-Day 'Clinical Anatomy & Dissection Masterclass' Concludes at HAU
A two-day intensive workshop titled "Clinical Anatomy & Dissection Masterclass" successfully concluded at Habiganj Agricultural University (HAU). The event was organized by the Section of Anatomy under the Department of Preclinical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FVMAS), HAU, in collaboration with the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), HAU. The masterclass was held on May 18 and 19, 2026, at the FVMAS Laboratory.
The primary objective of the workshop was to bridge the gap between textbook knowledge and real-life clinical practice. The training focused heavily on identifying precise surgical landmarks and featured live, deep dissection demonstrations of the nerve and blood supply using caprine (Goat) models.
Two renowned legends in the field of veterinary anatomy mentored the sessions as resource persons: Dr. Md. Zahirul Islam Khan, Dean at Gono University and former Professor at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), and Dr. Md. Mezbah Uddin, Professor, Department of Anatomy and Histology, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU).
The masterclass wrapped up on the final day with a grand closing and certificate distribution ceremony. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor (VC) of HAU graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the Additional Director of IQAC, HAU, attended as the Special Guest.
During the ceremony, official Certificates of Completion were distributed among the participating students. Furthermore, as a token of profound appreciation for their valuable guidance and leadership, prestigious honorary crests were presented to the Honorable VC and both the esteemed guest speakers on behalf of the university.
Speaking at the event, the dignitaries emphasized that such practical-oriented, intensive workshops are vital for elevating students' clinical and surgical expertise, playing an invaluable role in shaping them into highly skilled future veterinarians.
