Here is a clear and simple guide to the UK (London) Student Visa Process (Tier 4 / Student Route Visa) for international students:
🇬🇧 UK Student Visa Process (For studying in London)
This process is the same for all universities/colleges in the UK.
✅ Step 1: Choose Course & Get Offer Letter
Apply to UK universities/colleges.
Provide:
Passport
Academic certificates
English test (IELTS/PTE/Duolingo – depends on university)
CV (if required)
SOP (statement of purpose)
You first receive Conditional Offer → then after meeting conditions, a Unconditional Offer.
✅ Step 2: Pay Tuition Fee Deposit
Most universities require:
£3,000 to £8,000 deposit
OR 40–60% of the first-year tuition fee (depends on the institution)
After payment, the university will prepare your CAS.
✅ Step 3: Get CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies)
CAS = the most important document for visa.
It includes:
Your personal details
Course details
Fees paid
Sponsor number
CAS number
You need CAS to apply for the UK visa.
✅ Step 4: Arrange Financial Documents (Maintenance Fund)
You must show money for 28 days in a bank account.

Visit IOM Dhaka for tuberculosis test.
You will receive a TB certificate (valid for 6 months).

✅ Step 7: Biometric Appointment (VFS Global)
Visit VFS with:
