International Maritime Academy (IMA)

A tragic incident that occurred this morning at the Eastern Refinery Jetty in Chittagong, where the BSC (Bangladesh Shipping Corporation) vessel "Banglar Jyoti" was struck by a devastating explosion. It has been confirmed that four lives have been lost in this heartbreaking accident, including a Deck cadet from the 2nd batch of Barishal Marine Academy.
Our deepest condolences go out to the families and loved ones of those who perished.

The Officer cadets and Ex-cadets from IMA strongly stand with the guided by Bangladeshi students. We hope that all the Bangladeshi Merchant Navy officers and Sailors from home and abroad will be standing with the students amid the quota movement.
