গার্মেন্টস শ্রমিকদের জীবনযাত্রার ব্যয় ও বর্তমান অর্থনৈতিক বাস্তবতা বিবেচনায় নিয়ে ন্যূনতম মজুরি ৩০ হাজার টাকা নির্ধারণের দাবি জানিয়েছে সম্মিলিত গার্মেন্টস শ্রমিক ফেডারেশন (এসজিএসএফ)।

শুক্রবার (১১ সেপ্টেম্বর) জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাবের কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম মিলনায়তনে সংগঠনটির সাধারণ সভা-২০২৬ থেকে এ দাবি জানানো হয়।

সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে শ্রমিক দলের সভাপতি আনোয়ার হোসেন বলেন, পোশাকশ্রমিকদের ন্যায্য মজুরি ও শ্রমিক অধিকার নিশ্চিত করতে সরকার ও সংশ্লিষ্টদের কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ নিতে হবে। বর্তমান জীবনযাত্রার ব্যয়ের সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্য রেখে জাতীয় ন্যূনতম মজুরি ৩০ হাজার টাকা নির্ধারণের দাবি জানান তিনি।

এসজিএসএফ সভাপতি নাজমা আক্তার বলেন, শ্রমিকদের ন্যায্য মজুরির পাশাপাশি নিরাপদ কর্মপরিবেশ ও সামাজিক নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করা জরুরি। বিশেষ করে গার্মেন্টস খাতে কর্মরত নারী শ্রমিকদের জন্য মাতৃত্বকালীন ছুটি ছয় মাস করার দাবি জানান তিনি।

তিনি আরও বলেন, শ্রমিকদের অধিকার, মর্যাদা ও কল্যাণ নিশ্চিত করতে মালিকপক্ষের পাশাপাশি সরকারেরও কার্যকর ভূমিকা রাখতে হবে।
