এইচএসসি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য "Special uses of words and phases" এর কিছু শর্টকাট রুলস্:

1. Had better: Should এর মতো 'উচিত' অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।
Had better এর পর সবসময় V1(Present/Base form) বসে
2. Would Rather: দুইটি কাজের মধ্যে তুলনা করার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Would Rather এরপর সবসময় than থাকবে।
3. Would you mind: প্রশ্ন করার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় (যদি কিছু মনে না করেন)
Would you mind এর পরের Verb টির সাথে ing যুক্ত হবে এবং বাক্যের শেষে প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন থাকবে।
4. Let alone: তো দূরের কথা।
বাংলায় কথা বলার সময় আমরা প্রায়শই এটি ব্যবহার করে থাকি।
5. Lest: ভয় বা আশঙ্কা প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Lest এরপর Should/Might থাকে।
6. As soon as: একটি ঘটনা ঘটার সাথেসাথে অন্য একটি ঘটনা ঘটার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
7. What does....look like: একটি বস্তু (জীব বা জড় পদার্থ) দেখতে কিরকম তা জিজ্ঞেস করার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
প্রশ্নে দুইটি শূন্যস্থান থাকবে।

9.No sonner had:
______Subject+V3+Object+than+subject+V2+......
Example: No sooner had we begun the journey than the rain started.
10. It is high time+to+V1
It is high time+Subject+V2
11. what if(কেমন হয় যদি):
Sentence এর শেষে প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন থাকবে।

এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার্থীদের জন্য ইংরেজি ২য় পত্রের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি টপিক "Modifiers" এর শর্টকাট রুলস:

1. Pre modify the noun: শূন্যস্থানে noun এর আগে একটি meaningful adjective ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
2. Post modify the verb: Verb er পূর্বে শূন্যস্থানে একটি adverb ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
3. Use an noun adjective: মূলত শূন্যস্থানে একটি noun ব্যবহার করতে হবে যেটি ওই sentence এ adjective এর মতো কাজ করবে।
4. Use an intensifier: So,Too,Extremely,Very(অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রে) ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
5. Use an infinitive: To+V1(Base form)
6. Use a possessive: My,Our,Your,Her,His,Their,Its
7. Use a quantifier: পরিমাণ বুঝায় যে word গুলো দ্বারা(Many,Much,Some,Few,Little,All,Every)
8. Use a participle/Gerund: Verb+Ing
9. Infinitive phrase: To+V1+Phrase
10. Participle Phrase: Verb+ing+Phrase
11. Adverbial Phrase: একটি Phrase ব্যবহার কর‍তে হবে যেটি Adverb হিসেবে ফাংশন করবে।
12. Prepositional Phrase: Phrase এর শুরুতে একটি Preposition থাকবে
