Before the long vacation, Public Administration Research Club (PARC) held its second executive meeting on 20th May, where members reviewed ongoing organizational activities and discussed several upcoming plans and initiatives. The meeting particularly focused on arranging a seminar for the newly recruited members to introduce them to the club’s vision, research culture, and future activities. In addition, the executive committee discussed several new initiatives and strategic plans, which will be announced formally in the coming days. It is hoped that these initiatives will serve as invigorating and enriching opportunities for the freshmen of the club. The session further reflected PARC’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and research-oriented academic environment within the Department of Public Administration.

As PARC moves forward, it continues to turn ideas into action and ambition into impact.

Today we honor the dignity, struggle, and resilience of every worker who builds our society from the ground up. From fields to factories, from streets to offices—your labor shapes our present and future.

On 13 April, the Public Administration Research Club (PARC) convened its first executive meeting, marking an important step in its organizational development. Key decisions were taken regarding member recruitment, formulation of organizational rules, and planning of upcoming events. The meeting laid the foundation for PARC’s future activities, reflecting a structured and forward-looking approach. PARC is set to introduce innovative academic and research-oriented engagements.

Following the meeting, the executive members met and exchanged greetings with Dr. Mobasser Monem, former Chairman of the Department of Public Administration and current Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) along with Dr. Ferdous Arfina Osman, Member of the Public Service Commission (PSC). The discussion was also attended by Professor Dr. Syeda Lasna Kabir, Chairman of the Department of Public Administration; Dr. Ferdous Zareen; and Dr. Akram Hossain, Assistant Professor and Moderator of the Public Administration Research Club. The interaction provided valuable guidance and encouragement for the club’s future direction.

Today, as we stand tall and breathe the air of a free nation, the Public Administration Research Club of Bangladesh remembers with deep respect the immense sacrifices that made this freedom possible. From the Language Movement of 1952 to the historic Liberation War of 1971, our independence was written in the blood, courage, and resilience of millions, including the three million martyrs who laid down their lives for our nation.
As the red sun rises over the green fields of our beloved Shonar Bangla, we bow our heads in gratitude to those brave souls who gave their today for our tomorrow. Their legacy continues to inspire us, as students and future public administrators, to serve with integrity, responsibility, and dedication.
On this Independence Day, we reaffirm our commitment to building a just, inclusive, and progressive Bangladesh.
