🏆 Prize-Giving Ceremony | 2nd Bangladesh Science Exposium 2026

Dhaka University Science Society (DUSS) proudly celebrates the successful conclusion of the 2nd Bangladesh Science Exposium 2026, a national platform dedicated to science, creativity, innovation, and the development of young minds.

Held on 31 July & 1 August 2026, the Exposium brought together 2,000+ participants from across the country, with 14 diverse segments encompassing scientific competitions, presentations, innovation, creativity, and knowledge-based activities.

The Prize-Giving Ceremony, held on 15 September 2026 at the TSC Auditorium, University of Dhaka, celebrated the achievements of 200+ winners across different categories and segments.

সভ্যতার ইতিহাসে মানুষের টিকে থাকার যে দীর্ঘ যাত্রা, বৃক্ষ তার অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ। বৃক্ষ ছাড়া মানবজীবন, এমনকি পৃথিবীর অস্তিত্বও কল্পনা করা কঠিন। জীবনের গতিময়তা আর যান্ত্রিকতার ভিড়ে একটুখানি প্রশান্তি ও সবুজের খোঁজে আজ পড়ন্ত বিকেলে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সায়েন্স সোসাইটির আয়োজনে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো ‘প্রকৃতিপাঠ’ শীর্ষক সেশন।

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় উদ্ভিদ উদ্যানের মনোরম পরিবেশে আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল এই সেশনটি। একদল বৃক্ষপ্রেমী একত্রিত হয়েছিলেন প্রকৃতিকে আরও কাছ থেকে জানতে ও সবুজের সান্নিধ্য উপভোগ করতে। পৃথিবীর নানা প্রান্ত থেকে সংগৃহীত বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির গাছের এক ক্ষুদ্র সংগ্রহশালা বলা যায় এই উদ্যানটিকে।

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উদ্ভিদবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ড. মিহির লাল সাহা স্যারের নেতৃত্বে আজকের এই সুন্দর সেশনটি উপভোগ করেছেন আগত বৃক্ষপ্রেমীরা। তিনি মূলত একজন অণুজীববিজ্ঞানী হলেও গাছপালার সঙ্গে তাঁর সখ্য, গাছ নিয়ে তাঁর জ্ঞান এবং সেই জ্ঞান অন্যদের মাঝে ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার প্রয়াস আমাদের মুগ্ধ করেছে।

কুইজ বিজয়ীদের উপহার হিসেবে দেওয়া হয়েছে কামিনী গাছ। আজকের কুইজ বিজয়ীরা ছিলেন পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের মালিহা চৌধুরী ও আতিয়া সাবরিনা ইসলাম এবং ডিজাস্টার সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড ক্লাইমেট রেজিলিয়েন্স বিভাগের স্পৃহা বিশ্বাস। এমন আয়োজন ও উদ্যোগ তরুণ প্রজন্মের মাঝে বৃক্ষ ও প্রকৃতির প্রতি ভালোবাসা সৃষ্টিতে সহায়ক হবে।

তরুণ প্রজন্মের মাঝে প্রকৃতির প্রতি ভালোবাসা, প্রকৃতিকে জানার এবং অন্যদের জানানোর আগ্রহ সৃষ্টিতে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সায়েন্স সোসাইটির কার্যক্রম ভবিষ্যতেও অব্যাহত থাকবে।

What if the world is your classroom?

What if your next degree takes you across borders, introduces you to people from every corner of the world, and turns your academic journey into an international experience?
What if a scholarship could be the beginning of that journey?🎓

On 17 August 2026, DUSS opened the door to these questions through “Beyond Borders: Higher Studies with the Erasmus Mundus”—an interactive session that went beyond simply talking about scholarships.

With Rafid Fayyaz, 2025 Erasmus Mundus Scholarship recipient and former President of the Dhaka University Science Society (DUSS), the participants had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the journey of pursuing higher studies through the Erasmus Mundus programme. From exploring available opportunities and understanding the preparation process to learning from his personal experiences and lessons along the way, the session offered a practical glimpse into what it truly takes to turn the dream of studying abroad into reality.

Because sometimes, the biggest barrier between “I wish I could study abroad” and “I’m going abroad” is simply knowing where to begin.

And perhaps, for some of us, this was the beginning.

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us and made “Beyond Borders: Higher Studies with the Erasmus Mundus” a truly engaging and thought-provoking experience.
