Most examiners read what we call 'headache' essays all day long.
Complex ideas, vocabulary, and grammar that would give paracetamol a headache.
Examiners want you to answer the question in a way that doesn't give them a migraine. You can do this by making your writing more straightforward for them to understand. So why do only some students do this?
2. The fear of simplicity.
Most tests in the world reward complexity. The more complexity you understand and present, the higher your score.
IELTS is the opposite because it tests your ability to communicate CLEARLY in English.
But, most teachers teach students to make everything more complex.
This creates an understandable fear that simplifying their writing will lower their score.

You need to make your writing simpler.
