The Department of Management at North South University, in collaboration with the NSU Business Analytics Club, is pleased to announce the opening of registration for the certification program titled “Python for Data Analytics in Business 1.0.”
This program is designed to provide participants with a practical foundation in Python and its application in business data analytics. The course will cover essential programming concepts along with hands-on data analysis techniques relevant to real-world business scenarios.
Core Competencies Covered:
• Introduction to Python, IDEs, Scripts vs Programs
• Functions, Loops & Conditional Statements
• Data Structures, Strings & File I/O
• Data Analysis Packages and Data Visualization
Course Details:
• Registration Deadline: 15th April 2026
• Course Fee: BDT 5,000
• Venue: NSU Campus
• Total Duration: 8 Hours (3 + 3 + 2 hour sessions)
A closing ceremony will be held, during which certificates will be formally awarded by officials of North South University.

• Professionals looking to build or upgrade analytical skills
No prior programming knowledge is required.

Proud to see Dr. Zulkarin Jahangir, Assistant Professor at the Department of Management, North South University, contributing to global conversations on AI governance and digital development.
His work focuses on how emerging technologies particularly AI reshape institutional capacity, economic opportunity, and knowledge systems across the Global South. Dr. Zulkarin is part of the UNESCO AI Ethics Experts Without Borders network and has also engaged in research discussions with the United Nations Development Programme on AI and inequality within the Human Development Report dialogue.
He is currently working with researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on the idea of “Diplomatic Intelligence (DQ)”, exploring how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies may reshape diplomacy, governance, and global cooperation.

Responsible AI in Practice: a powerful cross-sector dialogue on governance, accountability, and civil society’s role in Bangladesh. Proud to host this event at the Department of Management, North South University, in collaboration with UNDP Bangladesh.
Dr. Zulkarin Jahangir (Assistant Professor, NSU, Specialist UNDP Bangladesh), Sheela Tasneem Haq (UNDP Bangladesh), Dr. Syed Ishtiaque Ahmed (Associate Professor, University of Toronto), Shafiqul Alam (PhD Candidate, Victoria University of Wellington) presented at the session, Rashed Mujib Noman, CEO, Augmedix Bangladesh, Ashfaq Zaman, CPA, Founder, LEAD Academy, representatives from Bangladesh Bank's IT cell also spoke at the session.
The session was chaired by Dr. Ziaul Haq Adnan, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Management, NSU, and coordinated by Quazi Tafsirul Islam, Senior Lecturer, Department of Management, NSU.

The Department of Management, in collaboration with the NSU Business Analytics Club and AWS Academy, marked the successful completion of the AWS Cloud Foundation Certification.
Graced by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, along with senior academic leaders, the ceremony emphasized the importance of cloud computing, data analytics, and digital skills for today’s students.
The program concluded by celebrating students’ dedication and readiness to embrace future opportunities in cloud computing and digital transformation.
