Every exceptional club stands firmly upon its keepers and pillars the individuals who uphold its vision, preserve its legacy, and shape its future. Today, we proudly introduce the new generation of keepers and pillars of this mighty club . Our newly appointed Sub-Executives.

These remarkable individuals are not only stepping forward as quizzers but as contributors, innovators, and future leaders. For the betterment and smoother progression of the club, our Sub-Executives will contribute across four dedicated sectors : Organising, Administrative, Graphics & Media, and Content & Research , ensuring that excellence is reflected not only in competitions, but also behind the scenes.

Beyond quizzing, this journey is about cultivating leadership, creativity, management, teamwork, and adaptability. From organizing initiatives and managing operations to designing visuals and researching ideas, this generation will work towards building both the club and themselves.

D-Day is a general military term for the day on which a combat attack or operation is scheduled to initiate. However, in common historical context, "D-Day" almost always refers to June 6, 1944, the day Allied forces launched Operation Overlord during World War II. It remains the largest amphibious invasion in history and marked the beginning of the liberation of German-occupied Western Europe.

The Allied forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of Normandy, France. The beaches were codenamed Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. On the first day alone, around 156,000 Allied troops stormed the beaches or landed via parachute, supported by nearly 7,000 ships and landing craft, and over 11,000 aircraft. The invasion came at a heavy cost. The Allies suffered more than 10,000 casualties on the first day, with over 4,000 confirmed dead. German casualties are estimated between 4,000 and 9,000 men.

D-1 meant the day before the operation.
D+1 meant the day after.
Because the Normandy landings were so monumental and altered the course of modern history, the placeholder name "D-Day" became permanently attached to June 6, 1944.

82 years ago today, the course of history was forever changed on the beaches of Normandy. We, ACCQC, pause to honor the monumental bravery, sacrifice, and unbreakable resolve of the Allied forces who launched the greatest amphibious invasion in history.

The Fall of Constantinople was one of the most important events in world history. On 29 May 1453, the city of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire was conquered by the Ottoman Empire under Fatih Sultan Mehmed II through advanced cannon technology and brilliant military tactics. Constantinople was protected by the famous Theodosian Walls, considered nearly unbeatable for centuries. This event ended the Middle Ages and reshaped the world. It marked the end of an empire, the rise of a new world power and a turning point that transformed global history forever which eventually led to the Age of Exploration. This city carried enormous political and religious prestige. The city was originally founded as Byzantium and later renamed Constantinople by Constantine the Great. Now this city is known as Istanbul, the biggest city of Turkey. This city is strategically located between Europe and Asia.

On 29 May 1453, as the gates of Constantinople fell silent, Fatih Sultan Mehmed rode into the conquered city and proclaimed:
“From now on, my throne is Istanbul.”

Eid-Ul-Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is one of the two major Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide. Its history is deeply rooted in Islamic tradition and honors a profound story of faith, obedience, and devotion.

Eid ul-Adha commemorates the profound story of Prophet Ibrahim, who demonstrated ultimate devotion by his willingness to sacrifice his beloved son, Ismail, in obedience to Allah's command. At the final moment, recognizing Ibrahim's unwavering faith, Allah intervened and replaced Ismail with a ram. Today, this historic event is honored globally during the final month (Dhul Hijjah) of the Islamic lunar calendar coinciding with the conclusion of the Hajj pilgrimage through the ritual o animal sacrifice or Qurbani where the meat is shared equally among family, friends, and the helpless to emphasize charity, piety, and selflessness.

"Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you."

Therefore, the above verse defines the true meaning of Qurbani which is our pure intension of sacrifice. This sacrifice metaphorically means the sacrifice our toxicity, ferociousness, greed and conquering our Nafs.

Today, we remember the lives forever changed by the Nakba, the catastrophe that led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes in 1948. Families were separated, villages were erased, and generations were forced to carry the pain of exile and loss. Nakba Day stands as a reminder that behind every number is a story, a memory, and a homeland that people still hold close to their hearts.

The Nakba is not only a historical event, its impact continues to shape the lives of millions even today. Across decades, Palestinians have continued to preserve their identity, culture, and history despite displacement and hardship. Through art, literature, education, and resistance, they continue to keep alive the memories of the homes, streets, and communities that were taken away.

On this Nakba Day, we honor resilience, remembrance, and the enduring hope for justice and peace. Remembering history is important not to spread hatred, but to acknowledge human suffering and stand for dignity, freedom, and human rights for all people. May the voices of those affected never be forgotten, and may humanity continue striving for a future built on compassion and justice.
