Shiyan Sadik has received the Best Presenter Award for his paper “Green Budgeting for SDG Alignment: Econometric Evidence from the Philippines” under the Scientific and Technological Advancement / Sustainability and Climate Change cluster at the International Conference of Business, Education, Science, and Technology (ICBEST 2025) held at Diamond Hotel, Manila

🎉 Big news from the ESM family! 🎉

A huge round of applause for our exceptional graduate, Mahinoor Ekram, for being awarded the prestigious Norwegian Government Scholarship (NORSTIP)!

Mahinoor, who graduated from our BSc in Environmental Management program with Summa Cum Laude honors, will be pursuing her Master of Philosophy in Peace and Conflict Transformation at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Her research will focus on the critical area of environmental and resource conflicts and negotiations, building on the knowledge she gained right here at ESM.

This incredible opportunity was made possible through the collaboration between the Southasian Institute of Peace and Governance (SIPG) at NSU and the Centre for Peace Studies (CPS) at UiT.

We are so proud of Mahinoor's achievement and wish her the very best in her studies. Her success is an inspiration to us all! 🌍✨

We are proud to share that Sadin Ezaz Choudhury, one of our graduate students from ESM, NSU is currently participating in a prestigious research exchange program in Nepal.

For the last 2 months, Sadin has been working at Kathmandu University’s Renewable and Sustainable Energy Lab (RSEL). Professor Biswas Karabi Farhana nominated him for this study under the academic collaboration within the ForHimSDG Research Exchange program of Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (P*K), Germany.
Sadin's research focuses on decentralized renewable energy systems and green financing frameworks – critical issues for South Asia’s energy transition and climate resilience.

It’s always inspiring to see our students contributing to global climate solutions and representing ESM-NSU on international platforms.

🏆 Hult Prize NSU In-Campus Competition 2024 – 2nd Runner-Up! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that, our very own Lamisa Mustafina, Ramisa Fahmida Rahman, Sayen Sababa Saiba, Fariha Raisa and Maisha Jahan ( Muddy Madness) have secured the Second Runner-Up position in the Hult Prize North-South University In-Campus Competition 2024!
This accomplishment holds significant importance for everyone at ESM. As a business competition, this recognition is particularly gratifying for the ESM Department.
Their business plan, thoughtfully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) theme, sought to introduce a sustainable and impactful roofing solution. We are exceptionally proud to see their dedication acknowledged.
This marks only the initial stage of their journey, and they are eager to make an even more substantial contribution in the times ahead.

Proud to share that our colleague Md. Shiyan Sadik’s paper, titled “An analysis between flood damage and economic growth in Bangladesh amid changing precipitation dynamics,” has received the Best Paper Award at the 4th International Research Conference organized by SLTC Research University!

He also had the honor of receiving the Best Oral Presentation Award. This recognition highlights the hard work and dedication put into addressing the critical link between environmental challenges and economic resilience.
