বর্তমানে বৈদেশিক মুদ্রার রিজার্ভ ও অর্থনৈতিক চ্যালেঞ্জের মধ্যে দিয়ে যাওয়ার সময়, বাংলাদেশ ২০২৩-২৪ অর্থবছরে বিদেশি ঋণ পরিশোধে ১৪.৮ বিলিয়ন মার্কিন ডলার খরচ করেছে, যা দেশের ইতিহাসে সর্বোচ্চ।

বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এই বিপুল পরিমাণ অর্থ পরিশোধ করা হয়েছে মূলত বৈদেশিক প্রকল্পে নেয়া ঋণ ও বিভিন্ন আন্তর্জাতিক সংস্থার সুদ ও আসল পরিশোধের অংশ হিসেবে। ঋণের এই বাড়তি চাপ ইতোমধ্যেই বৈদেশিক মুদ্রার রিজার্ভে প্রভাব ফেলেছে।

বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, রিজার্ভের ওপর অতিরিক্ত চাপ এবং টাকার অবমূল্যায়নের ফলে ঋণ পরিশোধে খরচ বেড়েছে। এছাড়া, ডলারের ঘাটতির কারণে আমদানি ব্যয় মেটাতেও হিমশিম খাচ্ছে সরকার।

অর্থনীতিবিদরা বলছেন, বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি থেকে উত্তরণের জন্য সরকারকে রপ্তানি ও প্রবাসী আয় বাড়ানোর পাশাপাশি নতুন বৈদেশিক ঋণ গ্রহণে আরও সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করতে হবে।

সরকারি হিসেব অনুযায়ী, ২০২২-২৩ অর্থবছরে ঋণ পরিশোধের পরিমাণ ছিল প্রায় ১০.৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার, যা তুলনায় এবছর প্রায় ৪.৩ বিলিয়ন ডলার বেশি। এ থেকে স্পষ্ট যে, বৈদেশিক ঋণ পরিশোধের চাপ ক্রমাগত বেড়ে চলেছে।

ঋণ পরিশোধের এই ঊর্ধ্বগতি দেশের অর্থনৈতিক ব্যবস্থাপনার জন্য একটি সতর্কবার্তা। এটি মুদ্রানীতিতে ভারসাম্য ও দীর্ঘমেয়াদি আর্থিক পরিকল্পনার প্রয়োজনীয়তাকে আরও জোরালো করে তুলেছে।

The reason lies in tectonic plate boundaries. The Pacific Plate is surrounded by multiple other plates (e.g., the North American, Eurasian, Philippine, and Indo-Australian Plates). These plates are constantly moving, colliding, and sliding past each other. The resulting pressure causes cracks in the Earth's crust, allowing magma to rise and erupt as lava at the surface.

Police Super Barrister Mahfuzul Alam Russell, in charge of the Media Department of Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) has confirmed the arrest.

RAB-11 arrested Shamin Mahfuz from Narayanganj and handed over to ATU, he said. He was taken to court on Tuesday and the court approved Shamin's 5-day remand in view of ATU's plea. Then he admitted his involvement with TTP and visit to Pakistan with late Ahmed Zobair. But Faisal claims that he did not take part in any operation or active activities on behalf of the organization. The news media has collected multiple pictures of Faisal with TTP member Zobair while staying at a Pakistan camp.

An SB official involved in reluctant investigation in the release of the name, Faisal was detained and handed over to the Police Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) last May. But ATU then left him instead of suing him.

A media report on July 14 quoted Savar Police Station's acting officer Mohammad Jewel Miya, Faisal was not detained due to lack of adequate evidence. Later arrested and sued were filed confirmed of his concern.

If the investigation officer of the case asked inspector Aminul Islam, he did not agree to comment on this.

Further accused of Al Imran, Rezaul Karim Abrar, Asif Adnan, Zakaria Masood and Mohammad Sanaf Hasan in the case filed against Faisal in Savar Police Station on allegations of TTP relations.

Shamin Mahfuz, who was arrested from Narayanganj on Monday (14 July) was also arrested in the same case. However The Decent could not verify the allegations of TTP relation of the case other accused other than Faisal, Al Imran and Sanaf Hassan through its own sources.

Shameen Mahfuz was arrested for being involved in terrorism multiple times earlier, according to news published on media. Police Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) detained him along with his wife from Demra in the capital in June 2020. That time CTTC demanded him as the head of Jamatul Ansar Phil Hindal Sharkwia. News published on media, he was earlier arrested in a case in Thanchi police station in Bandarban in 2011. Released on bail after two years.

In 2014, he was arrested again from the capital passengers. Released on bail in 2018 at the order of High Court. He was missing from then until he was arrested in 2021. When Shamin was released after his arrest in 2023 and where was his position next-- if RAB's Law and Media branch director Wing Commander MZM Intekhab Chowdhury said he doesn't have enough information on these.
