আপনি কি জানেন আপনি মোবাইল চার্জে দিন বা না দিন আপনি যে চার্জারটি লাগিয়ে রেখেছেন পাওয়ার সকেটে এতে করেই আপনার মাসে ৭০ লাখ টাকা বিদ্যুৎ বিল আসতেছে! কি অবাক হলেন?
আসলে এই ৭০ লাখ টাকা শুধু আপনি একা নন, ঢাকা শহরে বসবাসকারী প্রায় কয়েক কোটি জনগণ শুধু শুধু কোনো বেনিফিট ছাড়াই এই বিলটি দিচ্ছে প্রায় প্রতি মাসেই। আমরা অনেকেই মনে করি চার্জার বা ছোট ছোট ইলেকট্রনিক ডিভাইস প্লাগে লাগানো থাকলে কিছুই হয় না, কিন্তু বাস্তবে এগুলো স্ট্যান্ডবাই অবস্থায় থেকেও ধীরে ধীরে বিদ্যুৎ খরচ করে ফেলে।
যদি কোটি মানুষের বাসায় প্রতিদিন এই ছোট ছোট অপচয় যোগ হয়, তাহলে মাস শেষে তার পরিমাণটা কিন্তু আর ছোট থাকে না—বরং সেটা একটি বিশাল অংকে দাঁড়িয়ে যায়।
সবচেয়ে বড় কথা হলো, আমরা অনেক সময় অজান্তেই এই অপচয়গুলো করে ফেলি। একটা চার্জার, একটা টিভি স্ট্যান্ডবাই, একটা অ্যাডাপ্টার—এগুলো আলাদা আলাদা ভাবে ছোট মনে হলেও একসাথে মিলেই বড় একটা লস তৈরি করে।
তাই একটু সচেতন হলে কিন্তু অনেক কিছুই পরিবর্তন করা সম্ভব। ব্যবহার শেষে চার্জার খুলে রাখা, অপ্রয়োজনীয় প্লাগ অফ রাখা—এই ছোট অভ্যাসগুলোই আমাদের বিদ্যুৎ সাশ্রয়ে বড় ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।
⚡ আসুন একটু সচেতন হই, ছোট ছোট অভ্যাসেই বড় পরিবর্তন সম্ভব।

Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony

The EEE Day 2026 program, organized by the EEE Society, was successfully completed thanks to the tireless efforts, smart coordination, and dedication of our volunteers.

Their commitment and hard work played a crucial role in making this event successful. Without their support, it would have been very difficult to execute the program so smoothly.

To recognize and appreciate their valuable contributions, the EEE Society organized this “Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony” and awarded certificates as a small token of gratitude.

We sincerely thank all the volunteers for their outstanding efforts and wish them continued success in the future.

✨EEE Day 2026 Celebrated with Grandeur at Uttara University⚡

EEE Society of Uttara University successfully celebrated EEE Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and vibrant arrangements on Friday, 30 January 2026, at the university campus.

The day-long celebration began at 8:30 AM with the distribution of festive T-shirts among students, followed by a colorful rally and photo session that spread a lively festive spirit across the campus. The formal inauguration took place at the university’s Multipurpose Hall at 10:00 AM, marking the official commencement of the event.

The program was graced by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Uttara University, Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, as the Chief Guest. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of modern engineering education, research, and innovation in addressing global challenges and highlighted the vital role of engineers in building a Smart Bangladesh.

The event also featured a keynote session by Masud Rahman, former Design Engineer at Intel Corporation, who shared valuable industry-based insights, emerging technology trends, and essential skills required for future engineers to succeed in the professional world.

The celebration included tech-talk seminars, project showcase competitions, indoor and outdoor games, and a farewell program for graduating students. The evening concluded with mesmerizing cultural performances by in-house performers and band NIVRIT, making the day truly memorable.

✨ EEE Day 2026 was a perfect blend of knowledge, innovation, celebration and unity.
