Today we held Workshop 2.0 for Uplift Probe’s Research Associates, where participants were introduced to PRISMA diagrams and their application in systematic review papers.

The session, facilitated by Fahim, helped our team understand how to transparently present the process of identifying, screening, and including studies, laying a stronger foundation for high quality research in the days ahead.

Huge congratulations to our Founder & Executive Director, Mohammed Fahim, for winning the Best Paper Award (Student Category) at the 4th International Conference on Water and Environmental Engineering (iCWEE-2025) held at Western Sydney University, Australia!

His research paper titled “Assessing the Potentiality of Rainwater Harvesting System as a Source of Drinking Water in the Coastal Regions of Bangladesh” has been recognized for its outstanding contribution to sustainable water solutions.

This achievement not only uplifts our organization but also highlights the global relevance of research emerging from Bangladesh.

Uplift Probe recently conducted interactive workshops with school students, including yesterday’s session at Orchid International School, focusing on key hazards such as waterlogging, earthquake preparedness, fire incidents, and building collapse. The sessions became a vibrant exchange of knowledge, we shared practical insights while also learning from the students’ own experiences.

It was truly heartening to see how much these children already know at such an early age, reflecting the great efforts of their teachers and schools in fostering awareness.

Comparing the responses from Orchid International School with those from the school we visited yesterday also revealed meaningful differences, highlighting how socio-economic background shapes children’s experiences, perceptions of risk, and preparedness.

Together, we strengthened the belief that preparedness and awareness begin with education.

From Dhaka to Sitakunda: Templates of truth.

Act NOW.

In recent weeks, Nepal has witnessed an alarming ban on social media platforms, a move that has shaken the very foundation of open dialogue and freedom of expression. The government, citing control over misinformation and unrest, has restricted citizens from connecting, sharing, and voicing their concerns.

The decision has only deepened the ongoing political crisis, and yesterday, the situation escalated tragically. Violent clashes broke out between students and law enforcement, leaving more than 100 students injured. What should have been peaceful calls for dialogue turned into heartbreaking scenes of bloodshed.

We must remember; violence cannot be the answer. The true strength of a nation lies in its ability to listen, to allow its people to speak, and to nurture open conversation without fear. Freedom of speech is not a privilege — it is a fundamental right.

We are proud to share that our Senior Researcher, Md Nijam Uddin Sarker, represented us as a funded delegate at the Future Action Summit 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand (August 21–24).

During the summit, Nijam joined global changemakers, including officials from UNDP, UNICEF, and UNHCR, as well as domain experts, SDG enthusiasts, and fellow aspirants, to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and co-design impactful solutions.

On Day 2 and 3, he actively proposed and presented two resolution ideas addressing pressing global challenges:

SDG 4 (Quality Education): An AI-driven, community-based hub platform to reduce education disparities among marginalized communities.
SDG 13 (Climate Action): A tree-analogous approach to uncover the latent factors driving deforestation beyond textbook narratives.

For his outstanding contributions and innovative proposals, Nijam was honored with the “Future SDGs Champion” Award, a recognition that celebrates not only his personal achievement but also our organization’s commitment to advancing sustainability, resilience, and inclusive growth.

At Uplift Probe, we believe that such global engagements amplify our mission to foster research-driven, community-centered solutions for a better future.
