আজ আলহাজ্ব মকবুল হোসেন, প্রতিষ্ঠাতা চেয়ারম্যান, City University-এর ৬ষ্ঠ মৃত্যুবার্ষিকী গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদার সাথে পালন করা হয়েছে। এ উপলক্ষে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর, প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর, রেজিস্ট্রার, ডেপুটি রেজিস্ট্রার অ্যাডমিন মহোদয় সিটি ইউনিভার্সিটির পক্ষ থেকে মরহুমের কবর জিয়ারত করেন।

এ সময় তাঁরা মরহুমের রুহের মাগফিরাত কামনা করে বিশেষ দোয়া ও মোনাজাতে অংশগ্রহণ করেন। আলহাজ্ব মকবুল হোসেন স্যারের শিক্ষা বিস্তার ও মানবকল্যাণমূলক অবদান শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরণ করা হয়। তাঁর আদর্শ ও অবদান সিটি ইউনিভার্সিটির অগ্রযাত্রায় অনুপ্রেরণা হয়ে থাকবে।

Yesterday the Department of Law successfully concluded its Intradepartmental Cricket Tournament with a thrilling final, where Duronto (Ex) clinched a spectacular victory against the Dynamic Lions.

The Department of Law at City University organized a memorable farewell program on May 18, 2026, to honor and bid adieu to the graduating students of the 39th batch.
​The solemn ceremony was graced by the presence of our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Lutfor Rahman (Retd.), alongside the Controller of Examinations and the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration.
​We were deeply honored to have Prof. Abu Zayed Mohammad, the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, attend the event as the Chief Guest. The programme was successfully conducted under the able chairmanship of the Head of the Department, Md. Zakaria Sir.

The Department of Law at City University successfully hosted the grand finale of its intra-departmental Debate Competition showcasing exceptional public speaking, sharp analytical skills, and brilliant legal argumentation from the talented students.
Following a series of intellectually stimulating rounds, the ceremony concluded with an official prize distribution to honor the outstanding performances of the champions ,runners-up and best performers of the tournament.
The prestigious awards were graciously given away by the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Science Prof. Abu Zayed Mohammad sir and the Head of the Department, Md. Zakaria Sir, who both commended the participants for their high standards of debate and emphasized the vital role of advocacy and critical thinking in a successful legal career.

The Department of Law at City University successfully concluded its comprehensive "Studying Law Seminar Series" for the Spring 2026 semester today with the final session of the program. The seminar series, organized as part of the department's continuous academic development initiative, featured a succession of presentations delivered by the faculty members of the department over the course of the term, designed to equip students with essential academic and professional skills.
​Throughout the semester, the series covered a diverse range of critical competencies. Faculty-led sessions focused on core academic disciplines, including:

​Note-taking and Critical Writing (02.03.2026), presented by Mr. SM Mozammel Haque
​Critical Reading (03.03.2026), presented by Dr. Md. Emran Hossain
​Oral Communication and Argumentation (03.05.2026), presented by Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun
​Mastering and Succeeding in Examinations (05.05.2026), presented by Mr. Md. Zakaria
​The valedictory session was conducted on 16.05.2026 by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Abu Zayed Mohammad sir, who delivered the final keynote lecture of the series, titled "Critical Thinking: Unlocking the Potential in Studying Law."
​The session concluded with an interactive dialogue, allowing students to discuss the practical applications of analytical reasoning. By finalizing this series, the
Department of Law reinforces its institutional commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of its law students.

ব্যবসায় প্রশাসন বিভাগ ও City University Business Administration Sports Club আয়োজিত দুই দিনব্যাপী “Female Indoor Games Tournament 2026” আজ সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে এবং অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে বহুল প্রতীক্ষিত পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠান।

এই টুর্নামেন্টে ডার্ট গেম, ফোকাস গেমস ও মিনি বার ফুটবলসহ বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতার মাধ্যমে আমাদের নারী শিক্ষার্থীরা তাঁদের দক্ষতা, আত্মবিশ্বাস, দলগত চেতনা ও নেতৃত্বের গুণাবলি তুলে ধরার সুযোগ পেয়েছেন।

পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানে ব্যবসায় ও অর্থনীতি অনুষদের সম্মানিত ডিন, প্রফেসর ড. জুলফিকার হাসান স্যার এবং বিভাগের সম্মানিত শিক্ষকবৃন্দ বিজয়ীদের হাতে ক্রেস্ট তুলে দেন।

প্রতিটি খেলায় ১ম, ২য় ও ৩য় স্থান অর্জনকারী সকল বিজয়ীকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা। পাশাপাশি অংশগ্রহণকারী সকল শিক্ষার্থীকে জানাই আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও ধন্যবাদ—আপনাদের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণই এই আয়োজনকে প্রাণবন্ত ও সফল করেছে।

বিশেষ কৃতজ্ঞতা ও অনেক অনেক অভিনন্দন সকল ভলান্টিয়ার এবং আয়োজকদের—অত্যন্ত সুন্দর ও সুশৃঙ্খলভাবে “Female Indoor Games Tournament 2026” পরিচালনার জন্য।

শিক্ষার পাশাপাশি এ ধরনের সহশিক্ষা কার্যক্রম শিক্ষার্থীদের মানসিক বিকাশ, সৃজনশীলতা এবং নেতৃত্বের সক্ষমতা গঠনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখে।

আজ ১২ই মে, City University Textile Club কর্তৃক আয়োজিত এবং Textile Engineers Association এর সার্বিক সহযোগিতায় সিটি ইউনিভার্সিটির অডিটোরিয়ামে “The Role of Industrial Engineering (IE) in Modern Garments Industry” শীর্ষক একটি সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এবং সেমিনারের শুরুতে শহীদ সজল ক্রিকেট টুর্নামেন্টের ট্রফি উন্মোচন করা হয়।সেমিনারটিতে টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণে প্রাণবন্ত পরিবেশের সৃষ্টি হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন সিটি ইউনিভার্সিটির মাননীয় উপাচার্য ব্রিগেডিয়ার জেনারেল প্রফেসর ড. ইঞ্জিনিয়ার মোঃ লুৎফর রহমান( অবঃ)। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সিটি ইউনিভার্সিটি টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের সম্মানিত বিভাগীয় প্রধান ড. এ.কে.এম. সাইফুল ইসলাম। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের সম্মানিত সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ও কো-অর্ডিনেটর এবং City University Textile Club এর প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার মোঃ আরিফুজ্জামান আরিফ। অনুষ্ঠানে বিভাগের অন্যান্য সম্মানিত শিক্ষকবৃন্দও উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

সেমিনারে Textile Engineers Association এর পক্ষ থেকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন JJ Garments Manufacturing এর Head of Operations জনাব Md. Sirijum Munir ) এবং জনাব Md. Anisur Rahman (Divisional DGM। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন Textile Engineers Association এর Counselor ও Unifil Composites Dyeing Ltd. এর Chief Designer জনাব Md. Shawkat Hossain Sohel এবং Textile Engineers Association এর Founder জনাব সাগর ব্যাপারী।
বক্তারা আধুনিক গার্মেন্টস শিল্পে Industrial Engineering (IE) এর গুরুত্ব, উৎপাদন দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি, সময় ব্যবস্থাপনা, উৎপাদন পরিকল্পনা ও শিল্পখাতে ক্যারিয়ার সম্ভাবনা নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেন। সেমিনারটি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য অত্যন্ত শিক্ষণীয় ও তথ্যবহুল হয়ে ওঠে।
অনুষ্ঠানের শেষ পর্যায়ে অংশগ্রহণকারী সকল শিক্ষার্থীর মাঝে Textile Engineers Association এর পক্ষ থেকে সার্টিফিকেট প্রদান করা হয়। সফল আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে City University Textile Club শিক্ষার্থীদের শিল্পভিত্তিক জ্ঞান ও দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছে।
