Motherhood is truly a magical experience, a moment to cherish; but alongside this beauty, a mother passes this time through embracing herself with a wave of change as well as unspoken struggle.

Around 1 in 4 women experience mental health challenges during pregnancy and after childbirth. In the country we live in , it is a common scenario of newly become mothers, facing unseen challenges - from Postpartum depression, inadequate maternity leave, Judgement or criticism to difficulty in balancing personal needs with caregiving responsibilities.

On 3rd May, World Maternal Mental Health Day, we celebrate it as a token of recognition for all mothers’ who tirelessly accomplishing their responsibilities while keeping their quiet struggles aside.

Change is possible when society listens without judgment, the government prioritizes mental health in maternal care, and healthcare sector ensures safe and supportive spaces where seeking help is seen as courage, not weakness. No mother should ever feel alone in her journey.

UIU Pharmacy students participated in the "One Health AMR Educational Awareness Campaign" held in AIUB organized by the Govt of Bangladesh, World Organization of Animal Health (WOAH) & World Health Organization (WHO). The honourable Vice Chancellor of AIUB was the chief guest in presence of the Ambassador of Japan Embassy, Chairman of JICA Bangladesh, Director of IEDCR & BARA.

Also warm congratulations to our Head of Public Relations Sadman Wasif for becoming the champion from team 'PATHOSHIELD' on "STUDENT-FEUD ON AMR".

As Antimicrobial Resistance continues to pose a critical and escalating threat to global public health, we remain steadfast in leading awareness initiatives and are deeply committed to carrying this legacy forward with impact and responsibility.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, our upcoming workshop "Pharma Skill Development: A Workshop on Speaking, Scientific Presentation and Competitive Skills" will now be held on Google Meet instead of the previously announced venue.

On World Malaria Day, 25th April, we unite with hope and determination to raise awareness about malaria and inspire everyone to take simple yet powerful steps to prevent this dangerous disease.
Malaria still affects many families across the world, but with care, awareness, and responsibility, it can be prevented.
Sleeping safely under mosquito nets, keeping our homes and surroundings clean, and removing standing water where mosquitoes breed are small actions that create strong protection for our communities. Early diagnosis and timely treatment also play a vital role in saving lives and reducing suffering.
By sharing knowledge, supporting health programs, and working hand in hand, we can build stronger, healthier communities and move confidently toward a brighter, malaria-free future for all.
