If you understand this one image, you understand the foundation of all economics. Let’s break down the "Basic Economic Problem."
1️⃣ The Left Side: The Appetite 😋 Human nature is never satisfied. We always want more, newer, and better things—from the latest phone to a bigger house. Our collective wants are UNLIMITED.
2️⃣ The Middle: The Reality Check ✋ To make those things, we need resources (land, labor, capital, oil, grain). Unlike our wants, these ingredients are limited. They are SCARCE. There simply isn't enough to satisfy everyone's demands at once.
3️⃣ The Right Side: The Consequence ⚖️ This conflict forces every person, business, and government to make CHOICES.
WHAT products do we prioritize?
WHO do we produce them for?
Every time you choose to buy one thing, you are giving up the chance to buy something else. That's the reality of scarcity!
