CASSA is hiring: three part-time Undergraduate Research Assistants (ARC UGRA 2026)
CASSA at Independent University, Bangladesh is recruiting three part-time UGRAs for six months, tentatively starting 15 September 2026, funded by the ARC-SCOPE Sponsored Research Grant of Dr Khan Muhammad Bin Asad. Each UGRA works under one supervisor to complete a research project and contribute toward publications:
UGRA (Asad) — Dr Khan Muhammad Bin Asad: scientific software and pipelines for research, teaching and outreach, built with Claude Code. Requires extensive experience developing advanced scientific software with Claude Code.
UGRA (Ahad) — Dr Syeda Lammim Ahad: the two-phase growth of massive galaxies in galaxy clusters, using cosmological hydrodynamic simulations. Python experience desirable but not required.
UGRA (Tanvir) — Dr Tabassum Shahriar Tanvir: how a variable initial mass function shapes giant molecular cloud lifecycles and galaxy-scale star formation, in high-resolution simulations.
Eligibility: current undergraduates at reputed Bangladeshi universities in physics, mathematics, data science/statistics, engineering or computer science, with programming and data-analysis skills and CGPA ≥ 3.0.
