ইস্যু করা ভিসা বাতিল করছে নেদারল্যান্ডস। ভিসা ইস্যু করা শিক্ষার্থীদের পুনরায় সাক্ষাৎকারের জন্য ডেকে ভিসায় ক্রস চিহ্ন দিয়ে দিচ্ছে ঢাকার নেদারল্যান্ডস দূতাবাস। ভিসায় ক্রস চিহ্ন দেওয়ার অর্থ হচ্ছে— ভিসাটি বাতিল করা হয়েছে। দুইদিন আগেই এই বিষয়ে দূতাবাসের পক্ষ থেকে সতর্ক করা হয়েছিল। দূতাবাসের ভাষ্য, ভিসা আবেদনে বেশ কিছু অনিয়ম পাওয়ার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে কাগজপত্র যাচাইয়ে কড়াকড়ি আরোপ করা হয়েছে।

বিদেশে উচ্চশিক্ষার জন্য শিক্ষার্থীদের আর্থিক সহায়তা দিতে নতুন উদ্যোগ নিচ্ছে সরকার। প্রধানমন্ত্রী মন্ত্রিসভার সর্বশেষ বৈঠকে প্রস্তাব দিয়েছেন, যাতে প্রতিটি শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য সর্বোচ্চ ১০ লাখ টাকা পর্যন্ত জামানতবিহীন ব্যাংক গ্যারান্টি দেয়া হবে।

২০২৫ সালে বাংলাদেশে স্কুল থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পর্যায়ের মোট ৪০৩ জন শিক্ষার্থী আ'ত্মহ'ত্যা করেছেন, যা আগের বছরের (৩১০ জন) তুলনায় অনেক বেশি। এই মিছিলে ছেলেদের চেয়ে মেয়েদের সংখ্যাই বেশি দেখা গেছে।

বাংলাদেশে বর্তমানে প্রচলিত ত্রুটিপূর্ণ শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা এবং ক্যারিয়ার নিয়ে চরম অনিশ্চয়তা শিক্ষার্থীদের ওপর এক অসহনীয় মা'নসি'ক চাপ তৈরি করছে। কর্মসংস্থানের অভাব আর সামাজিক প্রত্যাশার চাপে পিষ্ট হয়ে আমাদের তরুণ প্রজন্ম আজ দিশেহারা।

৭৭ জন আ'ত্মহ'ত্যাকারীর মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বড় অংশটি
পাবলিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (৪৪ জন)
এছাড়া বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ১৭ জন,
জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ১০ জন এবং
মেডিক্যাল কলেজের ৬ জন শিক্ষার্থী রয়েছেন।
