২ মাস ব্যাপী ক্যাম্পে প্রতিযোগীতা অনলাইনের সাথে সাথে টেলিস্কোপ নিয়ে হাতে-কলমে কাজ করে শিখছে কীভাবে জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞানীরা টেলিস্কোপ ব্যবহার করে প্র্যাক্টিকালি কাজ করে।

ক্যাম্প চলবে আরো ১ মাসের বেশি, ক্যাম্পাররা আরো কয়েকটি টেলিস্কোপ প্রশিক্ষণের সুযোগ পাবে কাসা, IUB এবং রাজশাহী নভোথিয়েটারে।

এদের মধ্যে থেকে চূড়ান্ত ৫ জন প্রতিযোগী অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ পাবে ১৯তম আন্তর্জাতিক জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞান এবং জ্যোতিঃপদার্থবিজ্ঞান অলিম্পিয়াডে আগামী সেপ্টেম্বর মাসে, ভিয়েতনামের হানোই শহরে। 🚀

Two years ago today, we had an in-depth Cosmology class during our National Camp. Every year, we try to introduce newer, deeper, and more advanced topics to our students, gradually building their understanding of astronomy and astrophysics.

আইইউবি-তে আমাদের ফাইনালিস্টদের গভীর একাগ্রতার এক মুহূর্ত, যখন তারা জ্যোতিঃপদার্থবিজ্ঞানের জটিল সব রহস্য সমাধানে মগ্ন। তাত্ত্বিক চ্যালেঞ্জ হোক বা জটিল সমস্যার সমাধান, সবই জয় করছে আমাদের আগামীর এই জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞানীরা।

১৮ই এপ্রিল আইইউবি প্রাঙ্গণ ছিল BDOAA 2026 এ অংশগ্রহণকারী ক্ষুদে শিক্ষার্থীদের উত্তেজনায় মুখরিত। তাত্ত্বিক এবং সমস্যা-সমাধানমূলক প্রশ্নের মিশ্রণের মাধ্যমে অলিম্পিয়াডের জন্য তৈরি করা প্রশ্নপত্রটি জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞান ও জ্যোতিঃপদার্থবিজ্ঞানে তাদের জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞানের প্রতি আগ্রহ ও অর্জিত জ্ঞানের পরীক্ষা নেয়।

পরীক্ষা শেষ হওয়ার পর, অংশগ্রহণকারীরা তাদের স্যুভেনির গ্রহণ করে এবং অ্যাস্ট্রো পোস্টার মেকিং প্রতিযোগিতার মনোমুগ্ধকর কাজগুলো দেখার সুযোগ পায়। তারা আমাদের সম্মানিত অংশীদারদের স্টলগুলো ঘুরে দেখে, যেখানে নোটবুক, ক্যারিকেচার, হালকা খাবারের ব্যবস্থা এবং আরও অনেক কিছু ছিল। তারা সমবয়সী মহাকাশ উৎসাহী, শিক্ষাবিদ এবং গবেষকদের সাথে পরিচিত হওয়ারও সুযোগ পায়।

The IUB premises buzzed with excitement on the 18th of April as participants gathered up for the National Round of BDOAA 2026. The paper tested their passion and knowledge in Astronomy and Astrophysics through a mix of theoretical and problem-solving questions, keeping everyone racking their brains during the exam hours.

After the exam was over, the participants received their souvenirs and got to take a look at the mesmerizing entries from the Astro Poster Making Competition. They explored stalls from our valued partners, which had many things in store: notebooks, snacks, caricatures and many more. They also got the opportunity to network with fellow space enthusiasts, educators, and researchers.

অনুষ্ঠানে বাংলাদেশ অলিম্পিয়াড অন অ্যাস্ট্রোনমি অ্যান্ড অ্যাস্ট্রোফিজিক্স (BDOAA)–এর পথচলা, সাফল্য ও ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে কথা বলেছেন BDOAA এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক ড. খান মুহাম্মদ বিন আসাদ, একাডেমিক উপদেষ্টা অর্ণব চৌধুরী এবং ২০২৬ সালের জাতীয়ে পর্বের সিনিয়র ক্যাটেগরির চ্যাম্পিয়ন তালহা জুবাইর।

দেশের ৮টি অঞ্চল থেকে তরুণ প্রতিভা খুঁজে বের করা থেকে শুরু করে, তাদেরকে যথাযথ অনুশীলনের মাধ্যমে IOAA–তে পদক অর্জনের জন্য প্রস্তুত করার লক্ষ্য নিয়েই BDOAA এর যাত্রা।

By translating the mysteries of the universe into stunning visual narratives, you have proven that the beauty of the cosmos is best understood when art and astrophysics meet. BDOAA congratulates you for your courage to imagine and your dedication to precision.

🏆 And to the winners: Your achievement is an insignia of your artistic brilliance, scientific accuracy, and a passion that shines as brightly as the constellations themselves. Your work stood out among hundreds of entries, representing the pinnacle of visual storytelling in our 9th edition. Whether you competed solo or as a team, your posters served as a highlight of our National Round exhibition at IUB.

👏 Once again, we would like to have a round of applause for all our participants and winners. We wish you every success as you continue to illustrate the wonders of the universe.

N.B.: While souvenir distribution for the Olympiad was limited to on-site attendees, please note that Astro Poster Making Competition-winning teams will receive their specific prizes and rewards as promised. Our team will contact the winners regarding the collection/delivery of these honors.

N.B.: Souvenirs were distributed exclusively to participants who attended the National Round in person. In case of participants who registered but could not attend the National Round and subsequently couldn't receive their souvenirs, BDOAA will not be responsible to provide souvenirs to those participants as the quantity was limited. (This is only applicable for participants of the olympiad, poster making competition awardees will get their rewards)

We are excited to announce that Salehin Originals will be joining us as a Stall Partner at BDOAA 2026!

The artisan behind the initiative, Shah Ahadus Salehin, will be setting up a lively stall where he'll draw live caricatures for the visitors and showcase his beautiful original artworks. This creative corner will add a joyous and artistic vibe to the event, giving participants and guests an opportunity to take home unique souvenirs and personalized memories from the national round.
