‘Kids go coding’ proposes to give children alternative skills that would encourage children to continue schooling and give confidence of the existence of a better livelihood ahead. Our Target population is 11-18, Children from disadvantaged background who are on the streets and slums. It is estimated to benefit 100 kids in the first year. Over the next 10 years, it is estimated that there will be 1.4 million jobs in computer sciences and only around 400,000 graduates qualified to do them.Jobs not directly linked to computer sciences - such as banking, medicine and journalism - will also be affected by the need for at least an understanding of programming and coding. Besides, any day to day activity will be controlled by services off line or on line that will require the availability of applications rely on technology every single day. The demand of App, website developers will increase manifold. Therefore, our objective of teaching coding in schools will result in availability of App developers, especially in lower income slum areas that need additional value added to their lives.
