Art and Design is deeply connected to every other subject. An artist must understand culture, history, and ways of living—both of their own place and others—to create meaningful work. This links art closely with history and social studies.

To make art accessible and relevant to people, an artist also needs awareness of economics and business—understanding affordability, materials, markets, and value. Mathematics plays a vital role through measurement, proportion, scale, perspective, and structure. Science supports knowledge of materials, light, colour theory, tones, and shades, helping artists create suitable colour harmonies and visual balance.

In truth, Art and Design brings together knowledge from all subjects. It sharpens observation, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Learning art trains the brain to think deeper, wider, and more creatively. It should never be underestimated—Art and Design educates the mind as much as it expresses the soul. 🎨✨
