As part of our Global Perspectives subject, we performed a role-play on litter in our playground. We didn’t just act—we investigated the issue by asking questions, collecting information, and thinking of solutions.

Through different roles, we learned to see the problem from multiple perspectives and understand real-life environmental impact.

Today, we, the students of Middle School, had the opportunity to perform a skit on Eid-ul-Adha during the assembly. Through our presentation, we wanted to share the true message of Eid-ul-Adha, which teaches us sacrifice, obedience to Allah, kindness, and sharing with others. We also wanted to remind everyone that Eid is not about competition, but about caring for the poor and making others happy. Performing this skit was a wonderful experience for us, and we hope our message inspired all the students to celebrate Eid with love, respect, and generosity.

Middle School
Science Project Work: Periscope and Electric Circuit Tester

We, the students of Grade V, completed a science project on Periscope and Electric Circuit Tester. The purpose of this project was to learn basic scientific concepts through practical activities.

First, we made a periscope using cardboard, mirrors, and tape. Through this activity, we learned about reflection and how light travels in straight lines.
Next, we created an electric circuit tester using a battery, wires, and a small bulb. This helped us understand how electricity flows in a closed circuit and how to test conductors and insulators.

This project also improved our teamwork and communication skills. Overall, it was an enjoyable and educational experience that made learning science more interesting.

Middle School Assembly Presentation on the Concept of A.M. and P.M.

“Tick-tock, tick-tock, hear the clock chime!”

We, the students of Middle School began our assembly with this rhyme. Guided by our math teachers, we presented a vivid illustration, accompanied by rhythmic music, to explain when to use A.M. and P.M.

We performed a short skit that highlighted the differences between A.M. and P.M, from sunrise to nightfall, making the learning experience engaging and memorable. Striking, colourful props enhanced the performance and captured everyone’s attention.

The assembly was impactful and inspiring, and it significantly strengthened our understanding of time.

World Earth Day: Small Hands, Big Impact!

At HURDCO International School, our young learners celebrated World Earth Day with creativity, collaboration, and meaningful learning. The Preschool students enthusiastically took part in a group project, turning “trash into treasure” by using colourful bottle caps and recycled newspapers to recreate the Earth’s surface. Their work beautifully reflected teamwork, imagination, and environmental awareness.
Adding to the celebration, the students of KG-2 presented an engaging skit highlighting the causes of environmental pollution and the important steps we can take to keep our Mother Earth healthy and safe. Through these activities, students were introduced to the importance of caring for our planet. They learned to identify actions that harm the Earth and explored simple ways to keep it clean, green, and sustainable for all living beings.
