সবার আগ্রহ ও ভোটের ভিত্তিতে ঈদের পর থেকেই শুরু হতে যাচ্ছে আমাদের বহু প্রতীক্ষিত “Research Series”।

গবেষণার আইডিয়া নির্বাচন থেকে শুরু করে publication পর্যন্ত পুরো journey নিয়েই সাজানো হয়েছে আমাদের কোর্সের বেসিক আউটলাইন। প্রতিটি সেশনে থাকবেন দক্ষ ও অভিজ্ঞ ট্রেইনাররা, যারা তাদের বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা ও জ্ঞান শেয়ার করবেন অংশগ্রহণকারীদের সাথে।

⏳ কোর্সের সময়সূচি, রেজিস্ট্রেশন প্রসেস এবং বিস্তারিত তথ্য খুব শীঘ্রই জানিয়ে দেওয়া হবে।

পাবলিক হেলথ এন্ড ইনফরমেটিক্স বিভাগ, জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সকল প্রাক্তন ও বর্তমান শিক্ষার্থীদের অবগতির জন্য জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, বিভাগের সার্বিক অগ্রগতি ও পারস্পরিক সংযোগ জোরদারের লক্ষ্যে একটি সুসংগঠিত ও কার্যকর এলামনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশন প্রতিষ্ঠার উদ্যোগ প্রাথমিকভাবে গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে।

উক্ত উদ্যোগ বাস্তবায়নের লক্ষ্যে বিভাগের বর্তমান শিক্ষকদের সমন্বয়ে একটি প্রাথমিক কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে, যা ইতোমধ্যে অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের কাঠামো নির্ধারণ এবং একটি সুদৃঢ় ও যুগোপযোগী গঠনতন্ত্র প্রণয়নের কাজ শুরু করেছে।

প্রস্তাবিত এলামনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশনটি বিভাগের বর্তমান ও প্রাক্তন সকল শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য একটি সমন্বিত ও গতিশীল প্ল্যাটফর্ম হিসেবে কাজ করবে—যার মাধ্যমে পারস্পরিক যোগাযোগ জোরদার, পেশাগত বিকাশ, মেন্টরশিপ এবং বহুমাত্রিক একাডেমিক ও সামাজিক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করা সম্ভব হবে।

এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উদ্যোগকে আরও অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক, অংশগ্রহণমূলক এবং কার্যকর করে তুলতে আমরা সকলের মূল্যবান মতামতকে সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্ব প্রদান করছি। গঠনতন্ত্রের একটি প্রাথমিক খসড়া প্রস্তুত হওয়ার পর তা সবার সাথে শেয়ার করা হবে এবং গঠনমূলক মতামত আহ্বান করা হবে। তারপর, বিভাগের একটি অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে সকলের উপস্থিতিতে এলামনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের কার্যক্রমকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য একটি আহবায়ক কমিটি গঠন করা হবে।

সকলকে এই উদ্যোগের সাথে যুক্ত হওয়ার জন্য আন্তরিকভাবে আহ্বান জানানো যাচ্ছে।

বজ্রপাত এখন একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ জনস্বাস্থ্য সমস্যা হিসেবে সামনে আসছে। সাম্প্রতিক কয়েক দিনে বাংলাদেশে প্রায় ৩৫ জন মানুষের মৃত্যু হয়েছে বজ্রপাতে, যা আমাদের জন্য একটি সতর্কবার্তা।

বজ্রপাতের ঝুঁকি কমাতে সচেতনতা অত্যন্ত জরুরি। খোলা মাঠ, ফাঁকা জায়গা বা উঁচু গাছের নিচে অবস্থান এড়িয়ে চলুন। বজ্রঝড়ের সময় ঘরের ভেতরে থাকুন এবং বৈদ্যুতিক যন্ত্রপাতি ব্যবহার থেকে বিরত থাকুন। পানিতে বা জলাশয়ের কাছাকাছি থাকা থেকেও দূরে থাকুন।
মনে রাখবেন, সচেতনতা ও সতর্কতাই পারে জীবন বাঁচাতে।

নিজে সতর্ক থাকি, অন্যদেরও সতর্ক করি।

Today, all the teachers of the Department of Public Health and Informatics, Jahangirnagar University came together to visit our beloved alumnus, Abdullah Al Masud, at Ahsania Cancer Hospital, where he is currently fighting for his life against blood cancer. Seeing one of our own in such a critical condition is beyond painful. Masud is not just a former student - he is a part of our family, someone who once walked the same corridors, shared the same dreams, and carried the same hopes as all of us.

In a gesture of compassion and solidarity, the Chairman of the department handed over 100,000 taka to support his treatment. But the road ahead is long and difficult. Masud urgently requires a bone marrow transplantation, which will cost approximately 50,00,000 taka (fifty lakh). This is a burden no individual or family should have to bear alone.

At this crucial moment, all the teachers humbly appeal to all current and former students of the department, and to every kind-hearted individual, to come forward with generosity. Every contribution, no matter how small, can bring hope, can save a life. Let us stand beside Masud in his darkest hour. Let us show him that he is not alone. And above all, let us keep him in our prayers - praying to Allah for his swift recovery, strength, and a return to good health and a long life. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can bring hope. 🤲❤️
