Should I Take Further Mathematics?

One of the most common questions I receive from students and parents.

Further Mathematics is not for everyone, but for the right student, it can be a game changer. It develops advanced problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and mathematical maturity that are highly valued by top universities worldwide.

Before making your decision, ask yourself:
✔️ Do you genuinely enjoy Mathematics?
✔️ Are you willing to dedicate extra time and effort?

Remember, choosing Further Mathematics should be based on your interest, ability, and future goals, not because your friends are taking it or it sounds cool.

Eid ul Azha Mubarak 🌙✨

May Allah accept our Qurbani, forgive our shortcomings and fill our hearts and homes with peace, barakah and happiness.

Let this Eid remind us of sacrifice, gratitude and complete trust in Allah’s plan.

An official update regarding Cambridge AS & A Level Mathematics (9709/32 & 9709/52) has now been shared with schools.

📌 Paper 32 will have a replacement exam on 8 June 2026.
📌 Paper 52 will be awarded through assessed marks.

As teachers, parents and students, this has been a stressful time for all of us. But I sincerely hope fairness, integrity and the hard work of honest students will ultimately be protected.

Alhamdulillah.
I have received a response from the British Council Bangladesh regarding the recent Cambridge A Level Mathematics paper leak concerns.

They confirmed that the matter has been forwarded to the relevant board for review and that examination security is being treated with highest priority.

According to information currently circulating among schools, further updates regarding the matter may come on 22nd May. We are now waiting for an official confirmation from Cambridge/British Council.

As a teacher, I sincerely hope fairness is ensured for all hardworking students. My kids, please concentrate on your remaining exams though it’s very tough.

Assalamualaikum,

I am Engr Md Nadim, an A Level Mathematics teacher who has been teaching since 2008.

The recent paper leakage incidents have deeply shaken our beloved A Level students. First P1, then S1, and now P3, three major papers being compromised has created immense mental stress, anxiety, and uncertainty among students and parents.

After the leakage of the P1 paper, strong pressure was created by Pakistani teachers and media, which eventually led Cambridge to announce a retake examination on 9th June.

Similarly, for P3, Cambridge postponed the examination in Pakistan. However, students in Bangladesh sat for the examination on 15th May under extremely concerning circumstances.

At this moment, it is our responsibility as teachers, educators, parents, and institutions to stand beside our students and raise our voices collectively.

I humbly request respected principals and authorities of schools such as Mastermind School, Sunnydale School, Scholastica, Green Herald School, St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and all other institutions following the Cambridge curriculum to urgently communicate with Cambridge Assessment International Education and demand a fair resolution, including consideration of a retake for P3.

I have already sent emails to the concerned Cambridge authorities as part of my responsibility.

I sincerely request fellow teachers to do the same.

If this post reaches any media personalities or news platforms, I would humbly request you to highlight this issue immediately and ask British Council and Cambridge authorities to take prompt and fair action for the sake of our students.

Our students deserve fairness. Their hard work, mental peace, and future must be protected.

I Found an Error in Cambridge A Level Maths Mark Scheme! | 9709 V52 Q6(d) 11/05/2026

Many students blindly follow the official mark scheme without questioning the logic behind it. But in this question, there seems to be an issue in the Cambridge marking scheme itself. 👀

📌 9709 Mathematics
📌 May/June 2022
📌 Paper 52
📌 Question 6(d)

In this video, I have solved the question carefully step by step and explained where the confusion/error comes from and what the correct approach should be.

This is why understanding Mathematics is far more important than memorising answers.

Students preparing for Statistics papers should definitely watch this one carefully.
