The hubs also strive to break stereotypes, which traditionally blocks entrepreneurship development process, especially gender biases.

Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority [BHTPA] aspires to develop a robust innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem for flourishing economy to keep pace with the dynamics induced by 4IR. Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development Project (DEIED) under BHTPA aims to build vibrant innovation hubs in 10 universities that serve as the foundational block for aforesaid ecosystem. The hubs are going to act as epicenters for raising greater awareness on importance of innovation, nurturing culture of innovation, inculcating entrepreneurship mindset, promoting a collaborative environment, openness among students, graduates, researchers, and faculty members within and around participating universities. The program is executed through a consortium led by UPMCS Malaysia [UPM Consulting Services SDN, BHD] with MCC Limited Bangladesh. Host Universities:

Benefits of the Program:
• 3000 university-based innovators are to be nurtured
• Discovery of innovation or business idea.
• Access to Challenge Lab for ideation, design, prototyping and proof of concept.
• Opportunities to listen to global and national innovation/startup leaders.
• Access to national and global corporate and startup networks and opportunities of partnership, contributing to bridging industry-academia
• Pre-seed and seed fund and resources of equivalent up to BDT 200,000 for prototype and minimum viable product [MVP] development
• Learning and support of intellectual property rights [IPR] protection
• Credit for completion of the innovation and entrepreneurship semester
• Opportunity to enroll into Smart Bangladesh Accelerator [SBA],
