বর্তমান সময়ে আউটসোর্সিং ও ফ্রিল্যান্সিং শব্দ দুটি বহুল প্রচলিত। আমরা প্রায় সবাই শব্দ দুটিকে গুলিয়ে ফেলি। মনে করি শব্দ দুটি একি অর্থ বহন করে। আসলে তা নয়। আউটসোর্সিং হচ্ছে কোন কোম্পানীর কাজ তার অভ্যন্তরে (ইন-হাউজ) কাওকে চাকুরী না দিয়ে কোন তৃতীয় পক্ষকে দিয়ে করিয়ে নেওয়া। আর ফ্রিল্যান্সিং হচ্ছে আউটসোর্সিংকৃত কাজগুলো করে দেওয়া। আমরা স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই আউটসোর্সিং নয়, ফ্রিল্যান্সিং নিয়ে আগ্রহী। কারণ, আমরা প্রতিষ্ঠান বা ক্লায়েন্ট নই, আমরা ফ্রিল্যান্সার বা কর্মী।

এখন প্রশ্ন, কেন আপনি ফ্রিল্যান্সিং করবেন? :

১. ক্লাশ নাইন থেকে আমি ফ্রিল্যান্সিং শুরু করি। পড়াশুনার পাশাপাশি ইচ্ছামত সময় বের করে নিয়ে কাজ করতাম। পড়াশুনায় তেমন ক্ষতি করিনি।

২. অনেকটা নিজের ইচ্ছার উপর নির্ভর করে আপনি কখন কাজ করবেন বা কখন করবেন না। (তবে অনেকসময় ক্লায়েন্টের সময় অনুযায়ী কাজ করতে হয়)

৩. বাসায় বসে কাজ করুন। বাহিরে বের হওয়ার কোন প্রয়োজন নেই। হরতাল আপনার কাজে কোন বাধা প্রদান করবে না।

৪. শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা বা বয়সের গন্ডি নেই। আমি ক্লাস নাইন থেকে শুরু করেছি, আপনি হয়তো আরো আগে থেকে শুরু করতে পারবেন। কেও কেও অবসর নেওয়ার পরেও শুরু করেন। কাজেই, এখানে কাজ পারাটাই মুখ্য, আপনার বয়স বা শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা নয় (৯৫% ক্ষেত্রে)।

৫. পরিবারের সঙ্গে সময় কাটান, বাসার খাবার খান, সুস্থ্য থাকুন।

৬. কাজের সঙ্গে ইংরেজি চর্চা করুন। অনেকেই অভিযোগ করেন যে কাজের/পড়ার চাপের কারণে ইংরেজিটা চর্চা করা হয় না, কিংবা অনেকে লজ্জাও পান। কিন্তু এই লাইনে কাজ করতে হলে আপনার ইংরেজি জানা কাজ জানার থেকেও বেশি জরুরী (যদি না আপনি সবসময় বাঙ্গালী ক্লায়েন্টের কাজ করেন, অথবা ক্লায়েন্টের সঙ্গে অন্য কোন ভাষায় যোগাযোগ করতে পারেন। এরকম ১% এর বেশি ক্ষেত্রে হয় না, কেননা আমরা বাংলাদেশীরা বিদেশী ভাষা চর্চা করি না)।

৭. সর্বপরি অনেক বাহ্যিক জ্ঞান লাভ করুন। এখন আমি একটি পাবলিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সেরা একটি ডিপার্টমেন্টে পড়াশুনা করি। বিশ্বাস করুন আর নাই করুন, ভর্তি পরীক্ষার জন্য আমি কোচিং তো দূরের কথা, একটা চটি বই পর্যন্ত কিনিনি। তথাপি প্রথম বারেই মেধা তালিকা থেকে ভর্তি হওয়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছি। আর সেটা শুধুমাত্র ইংরেজিতে দক্ষতার কারণে (বাহ্যিক জ্ঞানের কারণে অন্য দুটি পাবলিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে চান্স পেয়েছিলাম।)।

তাহলে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং করার কি কোন খারাপ দিক নেই?

১. আগেই বলেছি ঘরের খাবার খেয়ে স্বাস্থ্য ভাল রাখুন। কিন্তু সমস্যা হচ্ছে, ঘরে বসে থাকায় ঠিক সময় মত খাওয়া হয় না (আমার ক্ষেত্রে যেটা হয়) অথবা বেশি খেয়ে খেয়ে অনেকে মুটিয়ে যান (কাজ করার সময় ২ হাত দূরে ফ্রিজ থাকলে এই সমস্যা হতেই পারে )

২. চোখের সমস্যা, মেরুদন্ডে ব্যাথা, ইত্যাদি নানা সমস্যা হতে পারে (যদি ঠিকমত মেইনটেইন না করেন)।

৩. নিঃসঙ্গতাঃ- পরিবারের সঙ্গেই থাকবেন, কিন্তু সবার মাঝেও যেন আপনি নিস্বঙ্গ। বন্ধু-বান্ধবদের থেকে বেশির ভাগ সময়ই দূরে থাকবেন, টিনএজের মজা উপভোগ করতে পারবেন না। (আমার ক্ষেত্রে যা খুবই বেশি পরিমাণে হয়েছে এবং হচ্ছে)। [উল্লেখ্যঃ এখন আড্ডা দিয়ে জীবনের মূল্যবান সময় অপচয় করবেন, নাকি এখন নিঃসঙ্গ থেকে পরে আয়াশ করবেন, সেটা আপনিই ঠিক করবেন।]

৪. প্রেমিকা হারাবেন বা জুটবে নাঃ- যেহেতু সময় দিতে পারবেন না, কাজেই এইটা মুটামুটি ধরেই রাখুন। কিছু ব্যতিক্রম বাদে বেশিরভাগ ফ্রিল্যান্সার, যারা সিরিয়াসলি ফ্রিল্যান্সিং করেন, তাদের প্রেমিকা তাদের ছেড়ে চলে যায় (আমার চেনা যেসব ফ্রিল্যান্সার ভাইরা আগে প্রেম করতেন, তাদের প্রায় সবাইকেই প্রেমিকা ছেড়ে চলে গেছে), অথবা প্রেমিকা জুটে না (আমার এবং অন্য অনেক ফ্রিল্যান্সারের মত )।

[উল্লেখ্যঃ এখন প্রেম প্রেম খেলা খেলে জীবনের মূল্যবান টাকা বা সময় অপচয় করবেন, নাকি এখন নিঃসঙ্গ থেকে পরে আয়াশ করবেন, সেটা আপনিই ঠিক করবেন।] কাজেই, নিজেই ঠিক করুন কি করবেন। যদি ভয় পেয়ে থাকেন বা অন্য কোন কারণে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং না করতে চান, তাহলে “আল্লাহ হাফেজ”। (কেননা কম সাহসী লোকজন দিয়ে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং হয় না।) আর যদি করতে চান, তাহলে নিজের মনকে শক্ত করে ফেলুন এবং পণ করুন যে, যেকোন মূল্যেই সফলতা অর্জন করবেন, বিপথগামী হবেন না।
