গবেষণা শুরুর আগে প্রয়োজন কিছু পূর্বপ্রস্তুতি। এই পূর্বপ্রস্তুতি গুলো আপনার গবেষণা যাত্রা কিছুটা হলেও সহজ করবে। বিশেষ করে যারা এই ফিল্ডে একদম নতুন তাদের জন্য এই দক্ষতা গুলো অর্জন খুবই জরুরি।

গবেষণার জন্য যে দক্ষতাগুলো প্রয়োজন, তার মধ্যে প্রথমেই আসে মাইক্রোসফট অফিস। Word-এ প্রফেশনাল ডকুমেন্ট তৈরি করা, Excel-এ ডেটা বিশ্লেষণ করা, আর PowerPoint-এ আকর্ষণীয় প্রেজেন্টেশন তৈরি করা—এই কাজগুলোতে দক্ষ না হলে গবেষণার অনেক অংশই ঝামেলার হয়ে দাঁড়াবে।

এরপর আসে বেসিক স্ট্যাটিস্টিক্স। গবেষণার অনেকটাই নির্ভর করে ডেটার সঠিক বিশ্লেষণের উপর। Mean, Median, Standard Deviation, Correlation—এসব না জানলে ডেটা নিয়ে কাজ করতে সমস্যায় পড়বেন। তাই শুরুতেই বেসিক স্ট্যাটিস্টিক্স শেখা জরুরি।

একটা কমন স্কিল হলো ইংরেজি লেখালিখি। গবেষণার ফলাফল তো ইংরেজিতে প্রকাশ করতে হবে। সঠিক শব্দচয়ন, ব্যাকরণগত দক্ষতা, আর রিসার্চ পেপার লেখার ফরম্যাট বুঝতে পারা গবেষণার একদম বেসিক চাহিদা।

আরেকটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্কিল হলো রিসার্চ পেপার পড়ার অভ্যাস। যত বেশি পেপার পড়বেন, তত বেশি বুঝতে পারবেন কীভাবে কাজটা করা উচিত। অন্যদের পেপার পড়তে পড়তে নিজের আইডিয়া স্পষ্ট হবে, গবেষণার পথটাও সহজ হবে।

আরেকটি স্কিল যোগ করতে চাই, সেটা হলো টাইম ম্যানেজমেন্ট। গবেষণার কাজ সময়মতো শেষ করতে হলে নিজের সময়কে সঠিকভাবে ভাগ করতে জানতে হবে। কাজের তালিকা তৈরি করা, প্রতিদিন কিছু সময় গবেষণার জন্য বরাদ্দ রাখা—এগুলো গবেষণা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য খুবই দরকারি।

সবশেষে বলি, গবেষণার জন্য আপনার ধৈর্য আর মনোযোগ সবচেয়ে বড় শক্তি। শেখার আগ্রহ আর ভুল থেকে শিক্ষা নেয়ার মানসিকতাই আপনাকে এগিয়ে নেবে।

গবেষণার হানি ট্র্যাপ: বিষয়টা আসলে কেমন? ❤️❤️

একটু খেয়াল করলে দেখবেন অনেক নতুন গবেষক খুব উদ্যম নিয়ে গবেষণা শুরু করে। মোটামুটি দারুণ কিছু করে ফেলার একটা অসময় ইচ্ছা নিয়েই তারা শুরু করে। আর পরিবর্তন যেহেতু সম্মিলিত চেষ্টার ফল, সেহেতু তারা মোটামুটি একটা টিম নিয়ে শুরু করে। ধরে নেই সেই টিমে আবির, সাদিকা, ফারহান, সুস্মিতা আর অর্ঘ আছে। এর মধ্যে আবার সুস্মিতা ও অর্ঘ দুজন দুজনের ভালোবাসার মানুষ। যেহোক, সেটা সমস্যা না। তো এই চারজন ক্যাফেটেরিয়ায় বসে ধোঁয়া ওঠা গরম চা খেতে খেতে প্ল্যান করে বসলো তারা গবেষণা শুরু করবে। দেশ-দুনিয়ার একটা আমূল পরিবর্তনের ইচ্ছা থেকে তাদের এই মহৎ উদ্দেশ্য।
ও হ্যাঁ, তাদের এই মহৎ উদ্দেশ্যের গোড়া পত্তন হয়েছে কিছুদিন আগে। তাদেরই এক বন্ধু আনিস সম্প্রতি তার এক স্যারের সাথে একটা পেপার পাবলিশ করে ফেলেছে। সেখান থেকেই আবির সম্প্রদায়ের মনে হলো যে তাদের মানব জাতির জন্য কিছু করা দরকার। তো চা খেতে খেতে ওরা চারজন ভাবল যে কার্বন ইমিশনের জন্য এক কোটি বছর পরে আমাদের কৃষি উৎপাদনের উপর কী ধরনের প্রভাব পড়বে, সেটাই নিয়েই গবেষণা করবে। আবিরের এই প্রস্তাব শুনে বাকিরা বাহ বাহ দিয়ে উঠলো। বলে উঠলো, “আমরা তো এটাই চাচ্ছিলাম। বিশ্বের একটা আমূল পরিবর্তন দরকার।” তাই আর দেরি না করে তারা মোটামুটি তাদের দায়িত্ব ভাগ করে নিলো।

আবিরের কাজ হলো সে আজকে রাতে এই সম্পর্কিত কিছু গবেষণাপত্র ডাউনলোড দিয়ে সবাইকে পাঠাবে। এর পরে তারা এগুলো নিয়ে পড়াশোনা করে পরের ধাপে এগোবে। আবির সেদিন সন্ধ্যায় বাইরে না গিয়ে গোটা বিশেক পেপার ডাউনলোড দিয়ে সবার মেইলে পাঠিয়ে দিল। গঠনমূলক আলোচনার জন্য একটা হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ গ্রুপ করা হলো। সেখানে দারুণ সব আলোচনা হচ্ছে। অবশ্য আলোচনার ফাঁকে দুই একটা রিলসও শেয়ার দেয়া হয় গ্রুপে। যাহোক, আবির বলে দিলো দুই দিনের মধ্যে তাকে ফিডব্যাক দিতে হবে। দিন যায়, রাত যায়। দুই দিন আর শেষ হয় না। শেষমেশ দিন পনেরো পরে তারা চিন্তা করলো পেপার পড়ে সময় নষ্ট করার মানে হয় না। তাই তারা সরাসরি গবেষণায় ঢুকে যাবে।

ও হ্যাঁ, একটা কথা বলাই হয়নি। আবির সম্প্রদায়ের চারজনের কারোরই কোনো গবেষণার পূর্ব অভিজ্ঞতা নেই। তাই তারা ডিপার্টমেন্টের বাঘা গবেষক জনাব ড. কামরুল হাসান স্যারের কাছে গেলো। স্যার তাদের কিছু পরামর্শ দিলেন। সেভাবে তারা এগোতে লাগলো। একদিন ক্লাসে স্বরূপ স্যার রিসার্চ মেথডলজি নিয়ে আলোচনা করছেন। সাদিকা চিন্তা করলো, আরে, স্বরূপ স্যারের সাথে তো এইটা নিয়ে আলোচনা করা যায়। এদিকে আবার অর্ঘের সাথে হাসান স্যারের বেশ ভালো সম্পর্ক। সে চিন্তা করলো, স্যারকে না জানিয়ে কিভাবে করবে এই কাজ? এতো মহা অন্যায়। তাই সে হাসান স্যারের কাছে বিষয়টা শেয়ার করলো।
বাই দিস টাইম ক্লাসের সবাই জেনে গেলো যে আবির সম্প্রদায় গবেষণা শুরু করছে। সবার থেকে তাদের মধ্যে আলাদা একটা পশ ভাব চলে আসছে। তারা এখন গবেষক। যাহোক, সেটা সমস্যা না।

পরের বৃহস্পতিবার তারা চারজন চিন্তা করলো বিকালে বসে কোশ্চেনিয়ার বানাবে। ও হ্যাঁ, বলে রাখা ভালো যে তাদের এখনো অবজেক্টিভ ঠিক হয়নি। সেটাও আসলে সমস্যা না। সমস্যা হলো বৃহস্পতি বিকাল নিয়ে। ওইদিন আবার অর্ঘ আর সুস্মিতার প্রথম ভালোবাসা বার্ষিকী। সুতরাং তাদের আর খুঁজে পাওয়া গেল না বিকালে। অগত্যা বাকি তিনজনে বসে চা-কফি খেয়ে যার যার রুমে ব্যাক করলো।

আবির নিজের রুমে বসে চ্যাটজিপিটির সাহায্যে একটি কোশ্চেনিয়ার তৈরি করলো। বাকিরা দেখে বাহবা দিল। তবে ড. কামরুল স্যার দেখার পর এতে এক হাজার কারেকশন দিলেন। সেটা তাদের মনঃপূত হলো না। তাই তারা হাসান স্যারের কাছে গেল। তিনি বললেন, “দেখে জানাবো।”
তারপর দুইটি বসন্ত কেটে গেল। হাসান স্যারের কোনো খোঁজ পাওয়া গেল না। একদিন বিকেলে তারা মাঠে গেল ডেটা কালেকশনের জন্য। দারুণ সব ছবি তুললো, যা সুস্মিতা ফেসবুকে পোস্ট করলো। ছবির ক্যাপশন দিলো

অর্ঘ আর সুস্মিতার ব্রেকআপ হলো। আবির নতুন সম্পর্কে জড়াল। সাদিকা বিয়ে করে সুখে দিন কাটাতে লাগলো। আর তাদের গবেষণা? সেটি হারিয়ে গেল সময়ের অতলে।
