অনেকেই university তে ভর্তি হওয়ার পরে confused হয়ে যায়:

• কোনগুলো future এ বেশি useful?

• logical thinking build করে
• problem solving improve করে
• analytical mindset তৈরি করে

Personally আমার মনে হয়:
⭐ BUS172 Bioinformatics এর জন্য সবচেয়ে important core course গুলোর একটা।

কারণ Bioinformatics মানেই biological data নিয়ে কাজ করা।

Future এ তোমাকে:
• gene data analyze করতে হতে পারে
• research result interpret করতে হতে পারে
• dataset compare করতে হতে পারে
• probability বুঝতে হতে পারে
• scientific conclusion বের করতে হতে পারে

আর এই সবকিছুর base হচ্ছে Statistics।

🔬 Simple ভাষায় বললে:

Statistics তোমাকে data “দেখতে” না, data “বুঝতে” শেখায়।

কোন result meaningful?
কোন data reliable?

অনেকে statistics কে easy ভাবে।

কিন্তু:

অনেকেই NSU-এর University Core এর Social Science courses নিয়ে confused থাকে — কোনটা easy, কোনটা CGPA friendly, আর কোনটা future career এ বেশি helpful।

একটা important জিনিস আগে বলে রাখি 👇
এই section এ মোট ৩ credit complete করতে হয়।
মানে নিচের options থেকে শুধু ১টা course নিলেই requirement complete হয়ে যায়।

তাই course choose করার আগে শুধু “easy” না, নিজের future goal আর semester pressure — দুইটাই consider করা উচিত।

কিছু course future skill build করতেও সাহায্য করে।

তবে smart decision হচ্ছে — নিজের semester pressure, adjustment capability আর long-term goal — সবকিছু balance করে choose করা।

BBT তে “university” course গুলো অনেকেই হালকাভাবে নেয় — কিন্তু actually এই course গুলাই future build করে।

আমরা বেশিরভাগ সময় focus করি:

Lab

কিন্তু reality হলো, BBT তে প্রতিটা category’র মধ্যেই কিছু course আছে যেগুলো long-term এ অনেক impact ফেলে।

আমি যেহেতু future এ Bioinformatics নিয়ে কাজ করতে চাই, তাই আমার career goal অনুযায়ী important course গুলো mark করছি — শুধু grade এর জন্য না, real skill develop করার জন্যও।

Higher study abroad করতে গেলে academic writing weak থাকলে অনেক struggle করতে হয়।

Interesting fact: NSU এর কিছু MOU university তে specific requirement fulfill করলে IELTS ছাড়াও apply করার opportunity থাকতে পারে — সেখানেও English composition course helpful হয়।

অনেকে এটাকে just “Bangla course” মনে করে 😅

কিন্তু এখানে:

Language clarity

Writing discipline

Literature understanding

এই skill গুলো develop হয়।

Scientific communication হোক বা corporate environment — clear writing সব জায়গাতেই important।

Studying BBT doesn’t automatically make your career path clear.

Many students move forward by taking random courses — but without understanding which ones actually shape your future, it’s easy to lose direction.

I don’t want to make that mistake.

So I’ve structured my BBT journey around a bioinformatics track, dividing courses into three tiers:

🔵 Tier 1 — Career Critical
Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Molecular Biotechnology, Research
→ These define core skills and future opportunities

🟢 Tier 2 — Strong Foundation
Protein Chemistry, Immunology, Cell Biology, Metabolism
→ Builds the biological depth needed for bioinformatics

⚪ Tier 3 — Supplementary
Helpful, but not career-defining

My current focus:
Biostatistics → Bioinformatics → Research

A BBT degree alone is not enough.
Right courses + skills + research = real opportunities.

Starting Python this month for data analysis and bioinformatics tools.
Consistency is the main goal.

আমি BBT পড়ি। অনেকেই জিজ্ঞেস করে — “এই subject দিয়ে কী হবে?”

সত্যি কথা হলো: শুধু degree দিয়ে খুব বেশি দূর যাওয়া যাবে না।
কিন্তু degree + right skills থাকলে পুরো game বদলে যায়।

আমি Bioinformatics এর দিকে যাচ্ছি।
এটা Biology + Computer Science এর combination — DNA sequence analyze করা, disease এর genetic pattern খোঁজা, drug target identify করা — সব computer দিয়ে।

এই infographic টা আমার full roadmap — 1st year থেকে PhD পর্যন্ত।

আমি যেভাবে plan করেছি:

1️⃣ Python শিখছি (CS50P)
Programming একদম জানতাম না। Free course দিয়ে শুরু করেছি।

2️⃣ Lab skills seriously নিচ্ছি
PCR, DNA extraction, Sequencing — এগুলো না বুঝলে real data বুঝা যাবে না।

3️⃣ 3rd year → Professor এর research lab join করার plan
Outside internship না, নিজের university তেই best সুযোগ।

4️⃣ Final year (BBT422) → Research paper publish করার চেষ্টা
একটা publication = PhD application অনেক strong

5️⃣ GRE + IELTS → Master’s / PhD Abroad (depending on country)
Fully funded — নিজের টাকা লাগে না, stipend পাওয়া যায়

এই field এ job demand high।
USA তে entry-level salary $90K+
Remote কাজও possible।

NSU থেকে এই path follow করলে কোথায় যাওয়া যায় — সেটা explore করছি।
