When I think about the teenagers in our country, what worries me the most is their mental health. Because various actions and behaviors of people in our society are pushing us toward mental illness. For the past couple of years, some small-scale work has been done regarding mental health.

Last December, I participated in an advocacy training organised by UNICEF Bangladesh & bdnews24.com, and since then, my entire plan for 2025 has centered around mental health. I have a 20-member team in Dhaka, although I haven’t been able to achieve the desired level of work with them.

Recently, I completed a four-day online training organized by UNICEF South Asia titled "Supporting the Mental Health and Psychological Wellbeing of Youth Changemakers." A mental health club is being formed at my college.

I want to break the taboos around mental health and make people understand that mental illness does not mean madness. It is our society that pushes young people toward mental distress. Our families and communities put so much pressure on children and adolescents that they lose their direction in life.
