They shared the ๐๐จ๐›๐ž๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ณ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ก๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ in 2010.

What happens to information when it falls into a ๐›๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ค ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐ž?
This question is at the core of one of the longest-standing unsolved puzzles in physics. ๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ says that anything that crosses a black holeโ€™s ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ณ๐จ๐ง is forever cut off from the universe. ๐๐ฎ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐ž๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ฌ, however, insists that information can never be destroyed, only rendered incomprehensible.
