🫁 TRACHEOSTOMY (ট্র্যাকিওস্টমি)
📌 Definition
Tracheostomy হলো একটি surgical procedure যেখানে trachea (windpipe)-এর anterior wall-এ একটি artificial opening তৈরি করা হয় এবং সেখানে একটি tracheostomy tube insert করা হয়, যাতে patient সহজে শ্বাস নিতে পারে।
👉 সহজভাবে:
এটা airway bypass করে সরাসরি lungs-এ air যাওয়ার ব্যবস্থা করে।
📍 Indications
Tracheostomy করা হয় যখন স্বাভাবিক শ্বাসনালী দিয়ে শ্বাস নেওয়া সম্ভব না হয়:
Upper airway obstruction (tumor, swelling, foreign body)
Prolonged mechanical ventilation
Severe head & neck injury
Neurological problem (coma, stroke)
Excess secretion clearance problem
Laryngeal obstruction or trauma
⚙️ Procedure
⚠️ এটা surgical sterile procedure, doctor perform করেন
Patient কে supine position এ রাখা হয়, neck extend করা হয়
Local anesthesia/GA দেওয়া হয়
Neck anterior part disinfect করা হয়
Skin incision করা হয় (usually 2nd–4th tracheal ring level)
Trachea expose করে small opening তৈরি করা হয়
Tracheostomy tube insert করা হয়
Tube secure করা হয় tie বা strap দিয়ে
Oxygen support ও monitoring করা হয়
👉 Result: Air directly lungs-এ প্রবেশ করে breathing easy হয়।
