The 4th Batch of the IUCN Red List Assessor Training commenced today under the
“Updating Faunal Red List of Bangladesh” Project, jointly organized by IUCN Bangladesh
and the Bangladesh Forest Department.
The training on the IUCN Red List Assessment Process is being held from 12-14 September
2026 at, Bangladesh Wildlife Center, Gazipur, aiming to strengthen the capacity of assessors in species assessment following the Guidelines for IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria.
This initiative reflects a significant step toward updating the national faunal red list
and enhancing evidence-based conservation efforts.
