A single engine plane crashed off of Lightfoot Road in the Williamsburg area Monday afternoon, Virginia State Police said.
State Police said there were no injuries in the crash, which took place at 213 Lightfoot Road and was called in at 5:26 p.m. The pilot was the only person in the plane, according to State Police.

বিমানটি সফলভাবে অবতরণ করেছিল, কিন্তু ভেতরে থাকা ৩০১ জনের একজনও বাঁচেনি। ✈️
এটি বিমান চালনার ইতিহাসের অন্যতম এক মর্মান্তিক ও শিক্ষণীয় ঘটনা। দিনটি ছিল ১৯৮০ সালের ১৯ আগস্ট। 🗓️ সৌদিয়া ফ্লাইট ১৬৩ (Saudia Flight 163) রিয়াদ থেকে জেদ্দার উদ্দেশে ৩০১ জন আরোহী নিয়ে যাত্রা শুরু করে।
🚨উড্ডয়নের মাত্র কয়েক মিনিট পরেই বিমানের কার্গো হোল্ডে ধোঁয়া শনাক্ত হয়। পাইলটরা দ্রুত জরুরি অবস্থা ঘোষণা করে বিমানটিকে সফলভাবে রিয়াদ বিমানবন্দরে ফিরিয়ে আনেন। অবতরণটি ছিল নিখুঁত এবং নিয়ন্ত্রিত। কিন্তু এরপর যা ঘটেছিল তা ছিল কল্পনাতীত।
🛑বিমানটি রানওয়েতে থামার পরেও জরুরি দরজাগুলো খোলা হয়নি। পাইলটরা ইঞ্জিন বন্ধ করতে এবং বিমানটি থামাতে বেশ কয়েক মিনিট সময় নেন। ⏳ উদ্ধারকারী দল বাইরে প্রস্তুত থাকলেও, ভেতর থেকে দরজা খোলার কোনো নির্দেশ আসেনি। ততক্ষণে কার্গোর আগুন থেকে সৃষ্ট বিষাক্ত ধোঁয়া পুরো কেবিনে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছিল।
অবতরণের প্রায় ২৩ মিনিট পর যখন উদ্ধারকারীরা দরজা ভেঙে ভেতরে প্রবেশ করে, তখন তারা এক ভয়াবহ দৃশ্য দেখতে পায়। বিমানের ৩০১ জন যাত্রীর সবাই নিজ নিজ আসনে মৃত। কারো শরীরে পোড়ার চিহ্ন ছিল না; প্রত্যেকের মৃত্যু হয়েছিল ধোঁয়া ও বিষাক্ত গ্যাসে শ্বাসরুদ্ধ হয়ে। এই বিপর্যয় কোনো যান্ত্রিক ত্রুটি বা দুর্ঘটনার কারণে ঘটেনি, ঘটেছিল জরুরি মুহূর্তে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়ার চরম ব্যর্থতার কারণে।
📝 এই ঘটনার পর বিশ্বজুড়ে বিমান চালনার নিরাপত্তা নীতিমালায় আমূল পরিবর্তন আনা হয়।
🛡️ জরুরি অবতরণের পর তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে যাত্রীদের বের করে আনার নিয়ম বাধ্যতামূলক করা হয় এবং উড়োজাহাজে আরও উন্নত অগ্নি সুরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা যোগ করা হয়।
ফ্লাইট ১৬৩-এর এই মর্মান্তিক ঘটনা আজ আমাদের স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয় যে, একটি ভুল সিদ্ধান্ত কতটা ভয়াবহ হতে পারে এবং এর থেকে শিক্ষা নিয়েই আজকের আকাশপথ আগের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি নিরাপদ হয়েছে। ✅
