The University of Portsmouth offers specific exemptions for students from Bangladesh regarding English language proficiency requirements. If you've graduated from certain universities in Bangladesh and studied in English, you may not need to take the IELTS test. Similarly, for master's degree applicants, if you've graduated from select universities within the last five years, an English test might not be necessary.

The listed private universities include NSU, IUB, BRAC, EWU, AIUB, AUST, UIU, ULAB, DIU, UAP, IUBAT, EDU, CIU, and IIUC, while public universities comprise IBA & FBS–DU, BUET, DUET, CUET, KUET, RUET, BUP, BSMRAAU, IUT, and AUW. For undergraduate admissions, demonstrating top grades in English during HSC exams or having commendable GCSE English grades could exempt you from the IELTS requirement, provided you complete your bachelor's degree within two years. However, if an English test is necessary, the University of Portsmouth accepts scores from various assessments like PTE, TOEFL, and Language Cert for most programs. The University of South Wales has special rules for students from Bangladesh. If you graduated from certain universities there and studied in English, you don't need to take the IELTS test. But your graduation should be recent, within the last 5 years.
