PKI & Digital Signature Seminar - A Landmark Event for NSU CSC.

The NSU Cybersecurity Center (NSU CSC) is proud to have successfully organized the PKI & Digital Signature Seminar, held on July 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at North South University. This full-day seminar was proudly organized in collaboration with the Office of the Controller of Certifying Authorities - CCA, ICT Division, Bangladesh, National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA) - জাতীয় সাইবার নিরাপত্তা এজেন্সি, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh - bringing together an incredible 213 participants from across the university.

Designed specifically for university students, the seminar offered a comprehensive, hands-on look into the world of Public Key Infrastructure and digital trust systems. Throughout the day, participants explored:

🔹 Cryptography & Digital Signatures - the foundations of secure digital communication
🔹 PKI Standards - an in-depth look at PAdES, XAdES, and X.509
🔹 Certificate Lifecycle Management - from issuance to revocation
🔹 CA/RA Architecture & HSM - understanding the backbone of certifying authorities
🔹 Legal Framework - navigating the ICT Act & IT CA Rules of Bangladesh
🔹 Hands-On Lab & Live Demos - turning theory into practical, real-world skills

This seminar wasn't just a learning experience - it was a bridge between academic knowledge and the real-world infrastructure that secures our digital identities and transactions every day. From cryptographic fundamentals to the legal backbone governing certifying authorities in Bangladesh, students left with a well-rounded understanding of how digital trust is built, managed, and protected.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Office of the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), ICT Division, and National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA) for their partnership and expertise in making this seminar possible, and to every one of our 213 participants whose curiosity and engagement made the day truly memorable. Events like these are what drive the NSU Cybersecurity Center (NSU CSC)'s mission forward - empowering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, one seminar at a time.

The NSU Cybersecurity Center hosted the MoU Signing and Certificate Distribution Ceremony on July 27, 2026, bringing together leaders and teams from NSU and the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) for an afternoon of collaboration, recognition, and innovation.
A general Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the NSU Cybersecurity Center and NCSA, marking a new chapter of institutional collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing cybersecurity capacity, education, research, and digital resilience in Bangladesh.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor, North South University , Prof. Dr. Md. Shazzad Hosain, Director, NSU Cybersecurity Center; Dr. Md. Taibur Rahman, Director General, NCSA; and, alongside members of the NSUCSC and NCSA teams.
The event also featured an intimate AI project showcase, highlighting innovative ideas and practical applications and reflecting the growing intersection of AI, technology, and cybersecurity. 🤖
We also celebrated the successful completion of the AI & Cybersecurity Essentials Training Program by our students through a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing their dedication to developing essential skills for a safer and more cyber-aware digital future.
The training initiative was supported by the EDGE Bangladesh, জাতীয় সাইবার নিরাপত্তা এজেন্সি , APAC Cybersecurity Fund of The Asia Foundation, and Google.org.
