Eid Mubarak!!!

Eid-ul-Adha serves as a reminder of sacrifice, devotion, and community spirit, emphasizing the responsibility to support the less fortunate.

The celebration of Eid-ul-Adha is to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah SWT and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. At the very point of sacrifice, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a ram, which was to be slaughtered in place of his son. This command from Allah SWT was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command, without question. Therefore, Eid-ul-Adha means the festival of sacrifice.

Muslims attend mosques or open spaces for Eid Salaah on the morning of Eid. People wear new or best clothes, exchange greetings, visit family, and give gifts to children.

The Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore is observed with profound reference and esteem throughout Bangladesh. Born on May 7, 1861, Tagore was a poet, musician, author, novelist, and painter. His birth anniversary is widely known as Rabindra Jayanti.

Rabindra Jayanti marks the birth of a true global visionary whose intellectual and artistic contributions continue to resonate across generations. In 1913, Rabindranath Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for the spiritual depth of his works, Gitanjali.

Setting aside literature, Tagore also made remarkable contributions to music and education. He wrote over 2000 songs, which are famously known as Rabindra Sangeet. He composed the national anthems for both Bangladesh and India. As a philosopher He established Visva-Bharati University in Shantiniketan

On his birthday, people celebrate his legacy through poetry recitations, songs, and cultural programmes. In Dhaka, Chhayanaut plays a vital role in organizing Rabindra Jayanti celebrations.
