Join us as a Research Assistant:

We are looking for energetic, smart, and hard-working individuals to work on two projects. In this role, your duties will include literature review, data selection, pre-process datasets, and building machine learning/deep learning models for Computer Vision and Speech Recognition.

Responsibilities:
1. Data Modification and Data Analysis with Python programming.
2. Research on state-of-the-art Computer Vision or Speech Recognition ML & DL modeling.
3. Project Management, Strategic Plan, and Implementation
4. Prepare draft reports, features, articles, and other communications materials as required.
5. Prepare project documentation and project reports.
6. Writing Research papers.

Applicants with these expertise will get preference:
1. Concept on Python programming and C++.
2. Some hands-on experience on Deep Learning algorithms like: CNN, RNN, LSTM, and Recent Models.
3. Expertise in using pretrained models.
4. Knowledge of Pytorch, Tensorflow-Keras.
5. Analytical abilities to solve real-world problems.
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure.

Document Processing Engineer:

We are looking for energetic, smart and hard-working Document Processing Engineers to work on a project. In this role, your duties will include organizing paper and electronic files, collecting samples, pre-processing, processing, securely storing documents, as well as distributing documented materials.
An outstanding candidate will be detail-oriented and someone who can be relied upon to accurately process important documents.

Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and processing incoming documents, including texts in various file formats.
2. Organizing documents according to classification categories.
3. Filing hardcopy documents and electronic file formats.
4. Copying, scanning, faxing, and emailing documents.
5. Storing documents and distributing documented materials to intended recipients.
6. Securely discarding duplicate and obsolete documents.
7. Archiving, retrieving, and distributing filed documents on request.
8. Performing other administrative duties, when required.

Requirements:
1. Undergraduate degree in any STEM field. Students with ongoing studies is acceptable.
2. For candidates with experience, the STEM requirement is relaxed.
3. Should be able to commit and work full time for the offer period.
4. Proficiency in computer software, such as Microsoft Word, and Excel.
5. Ability to securely store or discard documents and maintain confidentiality.
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Daffodil International University Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning Research Lab (DIU NLP & ML Research Lab) has passed glorious 3 years with lots of success, achievement, development and many more. This lab has a huge contribution to Bangla Natural Language Processing & Machine learning. In these years, more than 75 research papers, 3 Bangla benchmark datasets have been published from this lab. For the first time in Bangladesh, this lab has created a bridge between academia & industry to research collaboratively. We have a strong alumni community that contributes to creating new milestones every year.
Heartiest thanks to all the members and alumni of DIU NLP & ML Research lab for their dedication & hardship.
