পরিবেশ অধিদপ্তর আয়োজিত জাতীয় পরিবেশ দিবস উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত একাদশ আন্তঃবিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতায় একমাত্র মেডিকেল কলেজ হিসেবে অংশগ্রহন করে স্যার সলিমুল্লাহ মেডিকেল কলেজ বিতর্ক ক্লাব। এবং শাহজালাল বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিতর্ক দলকে হারিয়ে আন্তঃবিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতার কোয়ার্টার ফাইনালে উঠেছে মেডিকেল কলেজটির বিতর্ক দল। বিতর্কের বিষয় ছিল "আমাদের অর্থনীতি প্রধানত মাটির উপর নির্ভরশীল" এবং বিপক্ষে বিতার্কিক রা ছিলেন তৌহিদুল ইসলাম(৪৯তম ব্যাচ), আব্দুর রহমান(৪৯ তম ব্যাচ) এবং দলনেতা নাজনীন নাহার নিমা (৪৮ তম ব্যাচ)। বিতর্কে শ্রেষ্ঠ তার্কিক নির্বাচিত হন বিপক্ষ দলের দলনেতা নাজনীন নাহার নিমা। সকলের শুভকামনা প্রত্যাশিত।

অর্থনৈতিক অস্বচ্ছলতাই বিবাহ বিচ্ছেদের মূল কারণ – এর বিপক্ষে 'রুমানা ছাত্রী নিবাস, স্যার সলিমুল্লাহ মেডিকেল কলেজ বিতর্ক দল' জাতীয় টেলিভিশন বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহন করে
'বিজয় একাত্তর হল, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিতর্ক দল' কে হারিয়ে বিজয়ী হওয়ায় অভিনন্দন বিতার্কিকদেরকে। বিতর্কে অংশগ্রহনকারী বিতার্কিক রা হলেন ৪৭ তম ব্যাচের তমা দেবী এবং মেহজাবিন হোসেন মেধা,৪৮ তম ব্যাচের নাজনীন নাহার নীমা, ৫১ তম ব্যাচের ইসরাত জাহান, রেশমা রহমান, এবং সামাহা আহমেদ, ডি-১০ ব্যাচের লিপা আক্তার।
এ বিজয়ে তাদের পাশে থাকা সকলকে অশেষ ধন্যবাদ। বিশেষ কৃতজ্ঞতা আমাদের আস্থাভাজন শ্রদ্ধেয় প্রফেসর ডা. সুদীপ দাশ গুপ্ত স্যার কে, ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছি ডা.ডালিয়া সুলতানা ম্যামকে।সার্বিক পৃষ্ঠপোষকতার জন্য ধন্যবাদ Sir salimullah Medical College Debating Club এর সভাপতি স্নিগ্ধা কবির আপু এবং সাধারণ সম্পাদক তন্ময় দাশ দাদাকে । স্যার সলিমুল্লাহ মেডিকেল কলেজ এর বিতর্ক অঙ্গনে এ জয়ের ঐতিহ্য বজায় থাকুক।

The National Debate Federation of Bangladesh (NDF BD) stands as a pinnacle within the realm of debating practice in Bangladesh, renowned for its prestige and significant contribution to the development of eloquence and critical thinking skills among its participants.Sir Salimullah Medical College Debating Club(SSMCDC) is overwhelmed to mention that the General Secretary of the club, Tonmoy Das has been selected as Joint Secretary General in NDF-BD. It is really a fabulous and mesmerizing achievement for the club.
