The Industrial Placement Panel Viva for the 45th Batch students of the Department of Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology (AMMT) was successfully held on 12 September 2026 at the Permanent Campus of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT).
The panel viva was organized as part of the industrial placement assessment to evaluate students' learning experiences, professional knowledge, and practical understanding gained during their internship in the apparel industry. Students presented their placement experiences, discussed their assigned responsibilities, and answered questions from the viva board regarding apparel manufacturing, merchandising, compliance, production processes, and workplace practices.

On 13 September 2026, a group of students from the Department of Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology (AMMT), Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, participated in an educational visit to the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026 held at the Novo Theatre, Dhaka.
During the visit, the students explored a wide range of innovative technologies, research projects, and industrial solutions showcased at the fair. The exhibition provided valuable insights into the latest developments in innovation, technology, and sustainable practices across different sectors.

The students of 5th semester have visited the textile series of exhibitions in Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Centre, Purbachal. Where students learned the upcoming technology, yarn, fabric, dyes, chemicals and garments along with textile machines.

Celebrating Excellence at the National Stage

The Department of Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology (AMMT), Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology proudly congratulates the Jannatul Ferdouse Sadia for advancing to the Top 24 finalists of the DataDevelop Prize (DDP) 2026 BD Case Competition, organized by the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh

From 12 universities across Bangladesh, Jannatul Ferdouse Sadia will proudly represent Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology from the Department of Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology at the National Final, scheduled to be held on 9 October 2026 at North South University.

We sincerely appreciate Dr. Henry Soo and the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh for organizing the insightful workshop and briefing session and for providing students with such a valuable national platform.

We wish her every success in the National Final and hope to see her compete at the highest level and earn the opportunity to represent Bangladesh in Hong Kong.

The Department of Apparel Manufacturing Management and Technology (AMMT), Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, organized the Summer 2026 Orientation Program on 22 August 2026 at the university's permanent campus to warmly welcome the newly admitted students of the 54th Batch.
The program began with a warm welcome to the new students and an introduction to the AMMT family. Ms. Farjana Mita, Associate Professor and Head of the Department, delivered an inspiring motivational speech. She introduced the department, shared the university's academic guidelines, and encouraged students to maintain discipline, creativity, and professional excellence throughout their academic journey.
Professor Shishir Kr. Bhattacharjee, Dean, Faculty of Design & Technology, also welcomed the new students and congratulated them on becoming members of the AMMT family. The Dean emphasized the importance of innovation, practical learning, and commitment to achieving success in the apparel industry.
All faculty members and student advisors of the department were present at the program. They introduced themselves and shared important information regarding academic activities, student support, and departmental facilities.
