19 Sociology Students Selected for the Prestigious Millennium Fellowship Class of 2026🌿✌️✌️🌼❣️

Department of Sociology, East West University (EWU) proudly announces that 19 undergraduate students from the Department of Sociology have been selected as Millennium Fellows for the Class of 2026. ✌️✌️

🌻This prestigious international program is jointly organized by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN).The Millennium Fellowship is a rigorous, semester-long leadership development program that empowers university students to cultivate and scale grassroots initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UNAI principles.
✌️☘️ Over the course of the four-month fellowship, the EWU cohort will spearhead projects designed to address critical social, environmental, health, educational, and community challenges.

This year’s selection process was exceptionally competitive. The global program received more than 76,000 applications from over 6,000 campuses spanning 170 countries.

Demonstrating remarkable merit, the 19 students from Department of Sociology secured their places among the approximately 5,500 fellows selected worldwide—reflecting a highly selective global acceptance rate of roughly 5%.

The Department of Sociology, East West University extends its heartiest congratulations to the selected fellows from the Department of Sociology. Their achievement underscores Departmental and East West University's institutional commitment to fostering academic excellence, civic engagement, and sustainable global development.
