Notice for Student Visa Applicants

The Embassy of Italy in Dhaka wishes to inform that students who regularly registered on Universitaly portal will be contacted via email by VFS Global to set up their appointment to submit student visa application. VFS Global will use the same email address the applicants used for their registration on Universitaly.
Additionally, applicants are kindly invited to carefully read the dedicated checklist and keep in mind the following instructions:

The Embassy will accept proves of economic guarantees belonging to the applicant or to the following relatives: parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins. The abovementioned relatives can also be regularly residing in Italy or be Italian citizens.

As for the language requirements, the Embassy will only accept language certificates issued by globally recognized institutes or by universities, clearly specifying the applicant’s language proficiency in oral comprehension, written comprehension, speaking and writing.

Applicants are requested to submit either the CIMEA certificate or a Declaration of Value as proof of the authenticity of the study certificate. Finally, the Embassy wishes to inform that the last day to submit student visa applications for university pre-enrollment is Thursday, 29 October 2026.

The UK visa authority has introduced an important update regarding the document submission process. Moving forward, applicants will no longer be able to upload supporting documents.

Instead, all documents must be submitted through UK Visas and Immigration-authorized partner VFS Global, which will handle document uploads and perform full passport scanning as part of the application procedure.

Applicants are strongly advised to prepare all required documents in advance to prevent delays or complications. Recruitment partners and students should take note of this change to ensure a smooth and efficient visa application experience.

Important UKVI Update for 2026 Student Visa Applications

UKVI has tightened verification checks in 2025. It's no longer just about showing funds, they are now deeply verifying:

- Source of funds
- Bank Authenticity
- Personal & Employment History

UKVI is emailing applicants to explain large or sudden deposits. Before filing the visa, the bank statement should be carefully reviewed. Any lump-sum credit must be supported by documents. The source of funds should be submitted upfront to avoid delays.

UKVI emails the bank manager directly to verify statements. If the manager doesn’t reply, the visa is getting refused. Students must visit the bank before visa submission. The email address of the manager should be confirmed exactly.

UKVI is also calling employers to confirm past employment. The CV and reference letter should match perfectly. Students should inform the employer in advance. Employers should know the joining date, salary & role. Fake or mismatched experience documents should be avoided.

Suggestion:

- Trace every large deposit
- Alert bank manager in advance
- Inform employers about possible UKVI calls

Preparation should be done in an effective way. Otherwise, it can lead to visa refusal.
