The Department of English, BAIUST, successfully organised a four-day Certification Program on Professional Communication (Fall 2025), held on 25–26 February and 1–2 March.

This intensive program aimed at enhancing students’ communication skills and preparing them to meet professional challenges with confidence and competence.

At the closing ceremony, certificates were formally awarded to the participants by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean, and respected faculty members.

We are proud to share that the program received media coverage in national newspapers, reflecting its significance and positive impact. Such initiatives will undoubtedly inspire our students and help them navigate future academic and professional challenges more smoothly.

Department of English, BAIUST successfully completed a four-day certificate course on “Professional Communication” on 2 March 2026. A total of 39 students from the 13th batch (4/2) attended the course. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Registrar sir and faculty members of English Department attended the certificate awarding ceremony which was followed by an Iftar program.

MA in English, 1st batch students have successfully completed their thesis defence today, 21.1.2026.

Department of English successfully organized the study tour at DC park and Parki beach on 18 January 2026. 98 students and 9 Faculty members joined the tour.

Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (BAIUST) Brigadier General Md Kamal Uddin Komol, ndc, psc visited Department of English today, 11 January 2026. It was a courtesy visit followed by PPP, and constructive discussion. All faculty members of the Department attended the session.

Well done, our English Department football team. Huge congratulations for today's match.Though the match was draw by 2-2, the second half of the match was remarkably competitive. Special thanks to all players, team manager and our supporters who were in the field. Hope to see a victory in the next match, 17 December against EEE.
