Seem এর ব্যবহারঃ

✅ Seem (মনে হয়/মনে হওয়া/মনে হয়েছিল)
Structure: subject + seem/seems/seemed + to be + adjective
1. He seems to be rich - তাকে ধনী মনে হয়
2. The man seemed to be very tired - লোকটিকে খুব ক্লান্ত বলে মনে হয়েছিলো
3. The boy seems to be faithful - ছেলেটিকে বিশ্বস্ত মনে হয়
4. The fishes seems to be rotten - মাছগুলোকে পঁচা মনে হয়
5. The girl seems to be clever - মেয়েটিকে চতুর বলে মনে হয়
6. Kamal seems to be very lazy - কামাল খুব অলস বলে মনে হচ্ছে
7. He seems to be a honest man - তাকে একজন সৎ মানুষ বলে মনে হয়
8. The baby seems to be very weak - শিশুটিকে খুব দুর্বল মনে হয়
9. Mina seems to be doing well - মিনা ভালো করছে বলে মনে হয়।
10. It seems to be a good business deal - এটি একটি ভালো ব্যবসায়িক চুক্তি বলে মনে হয়।

Structure: subject + do not/does not/did not + seem + adjective + ........
Examples:
1. He does not seem to be industrious - তাকে পরিশ্রমী মনে হয়না
2. They do not seem to be large-hearted - তাদেরকে বড় হৃদয়ের মনে হয়না
3. It does not seem to be an easy work - কাজটি সহজ বলে মনে হয়না
4. He did not seem to be a good student - তাকে একজন ভাল ছাত্র বলে মনে হয়নি
5. You don't seem to be very happy - আপনি খুব খুশি মনে হয় না
6. He does not seem to be a good doctor - তাকে একজন ভাল ডাক্তার বলে মনে হচ্ছে না
7. He does not seem to be criminal - তিনি অপরাধী বলে মনে হচ্ছে না
✅ Structure: It + seems/seemed + that + subject + verb + ........
Examples:
1. It seems that it may rain today - মনে হয় আজ বৃষ্টি হতে পারে
2. It seems that he may come tomorrow - মনে হয় সে আগামীকাল আসতে পারে
3. It seemed that kamal would finish the work - মনে হয়েছিলো কামাল কাজটি শেষ করবে
4. It seemed that he would start the business again - মনে হয়েছিলো সে পুনরায় ব্যবসাটি চালু করবে
5. It seems that it may take some time - মনে হচ্ছে এটি কিছু সময় নিতে পারে
✅ Structure: Does/do/did + subject + seem + adjective?
Examples:
1. Does the food seem to be stale? - খাবারটি কি বাসি মনে হয়?
2. Does he seem to be meritorious? - তাকে কি মেধাবী মন

খুব খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ!
Good, nice, kind, unkind, rude, stupid, silly, careless, polite, disloyal, mean, generous, brave, generous, honest, considerate, sensible, clever, conceited, perceptive, sharp, sweet, rotten, thoughtful, typical, wicked (উইকিড), wrong ইত্যাদি আচরণ নির্দেশক adjective দ্বারা তার noun এর অর্থ বুঝাতে এদের পরে of বসে এবং object এর পরে infinitive বসে।
Structure (গঠন):
It + be verb + (adverb) adjective + of + sb (noun/objective pronoun + to + base form + extension.
Examples (উদাহরণ) :
It is kind ( = kindness) of you to come and see me.
(আমাকে দেখতে আসা তোমার দয়া)
It is (so) sweet/nice of you to help me.
It was clever of you to work out the answer.
(সমাধান বের করা তোমার দক্ষতা ছিল)
It's nice of you to call me back.
(আমাকে কলব্যাক করা তোমার সদয়চিত্তের পরিচয় )
It was very sharp of you to notice that!
(এটা খেয়াল/লক্ষ করা তোমার সূক্ষ্মবুদ্ধির পরিচয় ছিল)
It was wicked of him to keep the poor old man waiting so long. (এতক্ষণ গরীব/বেচারা বৃদ্ধ লোকটিকে অপেক্ষায় রাখা তার বদমায়েশি/বজ্জাতি ছিল।)
It was rotten of you to leave without saying goodbye.
(না জানিয়ে চলে যাওয়াটা তোমার বাজে আচরণের পরিচায়ক ছিল)
It was silly of you to go out in the sun without an umbrella. (ছাতা ছাড়া রোদের মধ্যে বাইরে যাওয়া তোমার বোকামি ছিল)
It was stupid of him leave your luggage unattended.
(পাহারা ছাড়া তোমার মালামাল ফেলে যাওয়া তোমার বোকামি ছিল)
It was stupid of you to turn down the offer.
(প্রস্তাবটি প্রত্যাখ্যান করা তোমার বোকামি ছিল।)
It was careless of me to leave the door open/unlocked. (দরজা খোলা রেখে/তালাবদ্ধ না করে যাওয়া আমার অসতর্কতা ছিল)
It is honest of you to admit breaking the glass.
(গ্লাস ভাঙ্গার কথা স্বীকার করা তোমার সততার পরিচয়)
It is wrong of me to get angry at triffles.
(সামান্য ব্যাপারে রেগে যাওয়া আমার ভুল)
It was not very polite of you keep interrupting me.
(আমার কথার মধ্যে বাধা দিতে থাকা তোমার খুব ভদ্র আচরণ ছিল না)
It is quite unkind of you to criticize me.
(আমার সমালোচনা করা তোমার/আপনার/আপনাদের চরম নিষ্ঠুরতা)
It's typical of him to keep everybody waiting.

বাংলা আর ইংরেজির কিছু পার্থক্য।
১. বাংলায় আপনি একটা উপদেশ, একটা রুটি, একটা সাবান, একটা তথ্য বলতে পারেন কিন্তু ইংরেজি
এক্ষেত্রে বিশেষ্যটির আগে piece, slice, loaf, bar, item ইত্যাদি উপযুক্ত শব্দ + of ব্যবহার করতে হয়
১। আমি তোমাকে একটা উপদেশ দিই।
Let me give you a piece of advice. (a advice নয়)
আমাকে দুটো সাবান দিন।
Give me two bars of soap. (two soaps নয়)
২। সে পাঁচটা রুটি খেল।
He ate five pieces/slices/loaves of bread.
৩। আমার একটা তথ্য দরকার।
I need a piece/an item of information.

অনুরূপ, countable noun নির্দেশ করতে ব্যায়াম অর্থে exercise এর আগে form of ব্যবহৃত হয়।
১। সাঁতার আমার প্রিয় ব্যায়াম।
Incorrect : Swimming is my favourite exercise.
Correct: Swimming is my favourite form of exercise.
২। সাঁতার একটা ভালো ব্যায়াম।
Incorrect: Swimming is a good exercise.
Correct: Swimming is a good form of exercise.
অনুরূপ, সাঁতার একটা চমৎকার ব্যায়াম।
Swimming is an excellent form of exercise.
তবে, সাঁতার ভালো ব্যায়াম।
Swimming is good exercise.

২. বাংলায় বিশেষ্যের পুনরাবৃত্তি হতে পারে কিন্তু ইংরেজিতে সর্বনাম (pronoun) ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
১। রাজশাহীর রাস্তাগুলো ঢাকার রাস্তাগুলো চেয়ে প্রশস্ত।
The streets of Rajshahi are wider than those of Dhaka.
২। দিনাজপুরের চাল রাজশাহীর চালের চেয়ে ভালো।
The rice of Dinajpur is finer/better than that of Rajshahi.

৩. বাংলায় বহুবচন চিহ্নের/সংখ্যার বিশেষ্যর বহুবচন হয় না কিন্তু ইংরেজিতে বিশেষ্যর বহুবচন হয়।
I have a lot of friends. (আমার অনেক বন্ধু আছে)
I ate three mangoes. (আমি তিনটা আম খেলাম)

৪. কখনো কখনো ইংরেজিতে ছোট বাক্যের বাংলায় অনেক বড় অর্থ হতে পারে ।
After you.
অনুগ্রহপূর্বক আপনি আগে যান অথবা আপনি আগে নিন।
If you pass blood, you should go and see your doctor.
(তোমার যদি প্রস্রাব বা পায়খানার সাথে রক্ত যায় তবে তোমার ডাক্তারের কাছে গিয়ে পরামর্শ নেয়া উচিত।)
pass blood = to pass blood in your urine or faeces ( = solid waste), মূত্র/প্রস্রাব অথবা শক্ত পায়খানার সাথে রক্ত বের হওয়া

৫. কখনো কখনো বাংলা বাক্যের সাথে ইংরেজি অনুবাদে word ব্যবহারে অমিল হয়।
যেমন: সাধারণত neither, either, both এর সাথে each other এর ব্যবহার হচ্ছে redundant (শব্দবহুল)।
১। আমার পিতামাতা কেউই অপরকে ভালোবাসে না।
Incorrect : Neither of my parents loves each other.
Correct: Neither of my parents loves the other.
Or: My parents do not love each other.
২। তাদের দুজনের কেউই অপরজনকে দেখেনি।
অথবা, দুজনের কেউই একে অপরকে দেখেনি।
Incorrect : Neither of them saw each other.
Correct: Neither of them saw the other.

৬. কখনো ইংরেজিতে হ্যাঁ বোধক বুঝালেও বাংলায় নাবোধক অর্থ দেয়।
Go easy on him. (তার প্রতি কঠোর হইওনা)
He missed the bus. (সে বাসটি ধরতে পারল না)

৭. বিপরীত অর্থও হতে পারে।
বিভিন্ন পরীক্ষায় আসা কয়েকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উল্টো ইংরেজি অনুবাদ।
১. তারা এবার এইচএসসি পরীক্ষা দিয়েছে।
They took HSC examination this year.
(gave নয়। কারণ, give মানে পরীক্ষা নেয়া আর take মানে পরীক্ষা দেয়া)
২. তুমি কার ছেলে?
Who is your father? [প্রথমটাই বেশি ভালো।]
অথবা, Whose son are you?
৩. How much do I owe you (for the groceries)?
(মুদিখানার জিনিসপত্রের জন্য) তুমি আমার কাছে কত টাকা পাও?
৪. You owe me Tk 100/100 takas.
আমি তোমার কাছে ১০০ টাকা পাই।
(ভুল: তুমি আমার কাছে ১০০ টাকা পাও।)
কারণ, owe মানে কারো কাছে ঋণী থাকা।
৫. The fire is out.
আগুন নিভে গেছে। (ভুল: আগুন ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে)
কারণ, out নিভে যাওয়া বুঝায় তাই put out মানে নিভানো
৬. After you.
আপনি আগে যান/প্রবেশ করুন/আপনি আগে নিন।

(মোট ১৫ টি বাক্যের ইংরেজি অনুবাদ দেয়া হয়েছে)

১. সে দেখতে তার বাবার মতো। (১৪ টি ইংরেজি অনুবাদ)
He takes after his father.
He resembles his father.
He looks like his father.
He and his father look alike.
He is like his father.
He and his father are alike.
He is similar in appearance to his father.
He and his father are similar in appearance.
He and his father look similar.
He looks the same as his father.
His father and he have got the same appearance.
He bears a resemblance to his father.
He bears a likeness to his father.
He bears a similarity to his father.

২. বাংলাদেশ টানা তিন ম্যাচ জিতল।
(১১ টি ইংরেজি অনুবাদ)
1. Bangladesh won their three successive matches.
2. Bangladesh won their three consecutive matches.
3. Bangladesh won three games/matches in a row.
4. Bangladesh won three matches on the bounce.
Or, Bangladesh have had three wins on the bounce.
5. Bangladesh won three matches in succession.
6. Bangladesh won three straight games.
7. Bangladesh won three games on the trot.
(on the bounce/trot হচ্ছে informal, spoken এ ব্যবহৃত হয়)
8. Bangladesh have had three back-to-back wins.
9. Bangladesh won three matches/games back to back.
10. Bangladesh got their third successive victory.
11. It was Bangladesh's third consecutive win.

৩. আমার বয়স ২০ বছর। (৫টি অনুবাদ)
I am twenty.
I am a man of 20/twenty.
I am twenty years old.
I am twenty years of age.
I am a twenty-year-old.

৪. তার কথায় এক বিন্দু/বিন্দুমাত্র সত্য নেই। (৫টি)
There is not an iota of truth in what she/he says.
There is not a/one grain of truth in what she/he says.
There is not a particle of truth in what she/he says.
There is not a scintilla of truth in what she/he says.
There is not a/one jot of truth in what she/he says.

৫. কলমটি আমার। (৪টি)
The pen belongs to me.
I am the owner of the pen.
I own the pen.
The pen is mine.

৬. সুমনেরা ৪ ভাই। (৪টি)
Sumon has three brothers.
Sumon has three siblings. (siblings = ভাই বা বোন)
("সুমনেরা চার ভাইবোন" বললে এটাই হবে)
Sumon and his brothers are four in number.
Sumon's parents have got four sons.

৭. এখন নামাজের সময় হয়েছে। (৪ টি)
It is time for prayer.
The time has come for prayer.
It is time to say prayer.
উপরের তিনটিতেই now হবে না। কারণ, it is time কিংবা
The time has come মানেই এখন সময় হয়েছে।
তবে এভাবেও করা যায়
Now is the time for prayer.

৮. সময় দ্রুত চলে যায়। (৪টি)
Time flies.
Time goes by so quickly.
Time passes (by) so quickly.
Time trips by on rosy wings

৯. সে আমার চেয়ে দুই বছরের বড়। (৭টি)
He is senior to me by two years. (TG)
He is my senior by two years.
He is two years senior to me.
He is two years my senior.
He two years older than I (am).
He is older than me by two years.
He two years older than me.
তবে আপন ভাই-বোন হলে elder (elder than ভুল)
He is my elder by two years.
I am his elder by two years.

১০. সে আমার চেয়ে দুই বছরের ছোট। (৬টি)
He is junior to me by two years. (TG)
He is my junior by two years.
He is two years my junior.
He is two years younger than I am.
He is younger than me by two years.
He is two years younger than me.

১১. অতি দর্পে হত লংকা/অহংকার পতনের মূল।
Pride goes before destruction.
Pride goes before a fall.
Pride comes before a fall.

১২. তুমি কি কখনো বিদেশে গিয়েছ? (৩টি)
Have you ever been abroad?
Have you ever been to a foreign country?
Have you ever visited abroad?

১৩. গাছটিতে ফুল ধরেছে। (৭ টি অনুবাদ)
The tree is in flower. (flowers নয়)
The tree has come into flower. (flowers নয়)
The tree is in bloom.
The tree is in blossom.
The tree has bloomed.
The tree has blossomed.
The tree has flowered.
The tree has produced flowers.

১৪। গাছটিতে ফল ধরেছে। (৫ টি অনুবাদ)
The tree has borne fruit.
The tree is in fruit.
The tree has fruited.
The tree has produced fruit.
The tree has fruit growing on it.

১৫। আমি তাকে অনেক দিন ধরে দেখিনি।
I haven’t seen him for a long time.
I haven’t seen him for long.
I haven’t seen him for a while.

for a long time/for long /for a while = অনেক দিন ধরে।

Using Rules of Preposition - প্রিপজিশন ব্যবহারের নিয়ম

Preposition- এর ব্যবহার

Pre শব্দের অর্থ পূর্বে এবং Position শব্দের অর্থ অবস্থান। যে Word Noun বা Pronoun-এর পূর্বে বসে সেই Noun বা Pronoun-এর সঙ্গে বাক্যের অন্যান্য Word-এর সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করে তাকে Preposition বলে।
যেমন : There is a cow in the field. এখানে in Preposition এবং তা Cow এবং field-এর মধ্যে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করেছে।

গঠন ও কার্যকারিতা ভেদে Preposition-এর শ্রেণি বিন্যাস

1. Simple Preposition : এ কটি Word দ্বারা গঠিত Prepositionই হলো Simple Preposition যেমন : In, On, by, at, with, ইত্যাদি।

2. Double Preposition: দুটি Simple Preposition যুক্ত হয়ে Double Preposition-এর মতো ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন : Within (with+in), into (in+to)

3. Compound Preposition : Noun, adjective বা adverb-এর পূর্বে Simple Preposition যুক্ত হয়ে যে Preposition গঠিত হয় তাকে Compound Preposition বলে। এখানে On এর স্থানে a এবং by এর স্থানে b বা be হয়। যেমন : about (on+by+out), below (by+low)

4. Phrase Preposition : দুই বা ততোধিক Preposition (বাWord) একত্রে Phrase Preposition গঠন করে। যেমন : In front of, In order to , In lieu of ইত্যাদি।

5. Participle Preposition : Participle of verb (Present or past) কখনো কখনো Preposition-এর মতো ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন : I saw the people walking past him.

6. Disguised Preposition : অনেক ক্ষেত্রে লক্ষ্য করা যায় on, at, of, Preposition-এর পরিবর্তে a বা o ব্যবহৃত হয়। এরূপ a বা o কে Disguised Preposition বলে।

7. Special Preposition : Than ও but মূলত Conjunction হলেও কখনো আবার Preposition রূপে ব্যবহৃত হয়। তখন তাদের Special Preposition বলে। যেমন : Iam older than her.

8. Verbal Preposition : এই জাতীয় Preposition Verb-এর পূর্বে যুক্ত হয়ে নতুন Verb গঠন করে। যেমন : Overlook (Over+look), Withdraw (with+draw).

Preposition- ব্যবহারের নিয়ম -

At এর ব্যবহার
১।অবস্থান বুঝাইতে নাম উল্লেখিত ছোট স্থানের আগে যেমনঃ গ্রাম, এলাকা, মহল্লা ও ছোট শহরের আগে at বসে।যেমনঃ at Baratengra, at Chashara
২। সময় বুঝাইতে at বসে। যেমনঃ I go to bed at 10 o’ clock.
৩।অবস্থা বুঝাইতে at বসে। যেমনঃ The country is at war now.
৪।হার / গতি বুঝাইতে at বসে। যেমনঃ Iffat was driving the car at 100 kilometers per hour.
৫।দায়িত্ব বুঝাইতে at বসে। যেমনঃ You must repair it at your own cost.
৬।দূরত্ব বুঝাইতে at বসে। যেমনঃ Barguna is at 50 kilometers from here.
৭।বয়স বুঝাইতে at বসে। যেমনঃ He lost his father at 10.
৮।দিক বুঝাইতে at বসে। যেমনঃ He pointed the gun at him.

নিম্নের শব্দ গুলোর পর at বসে।
arrive, astonished, annoyed, envy, fire, knock, shame, smile, laugh, surprised, louch, wonder, alarm, jeer.

To এর ব্যবহার
১।কোন স্থানে আসা এবং যাওয়া বুঝালে ঐ স্থানের আগে to বসে।যেমনঃ i. He goes to school everyday. ii. He came to Bangladesh in 1971.
বিঃদ্রঃ আসা এবং যাওয়া বুঝালেও home, abroad, here, there এর আগে to বসে না।
ব্যতিক্রমঃ From here to there.
২।বাক্যে V+তে / র = to+V1. যেমনঃ i. He told me to read a book. ii.I have nothing to give you.
৩।ব্যক্তির কাছে বুঝালে তার আগে to বসে।যেমনঃ He came to me.
৪।অনুসারে বুঝাতে to বসে।যেমনঃ The food is to me test.
৫।সীমানার বাইরে বুঝাতে to বসে।যেমনঃ Japan is to the east of our country.
৬।পর্যন্ত বুঝাতে to বসে।যেমনঃ They fought to the last.
৭।পরিমান / হার বুঝাতে to বসে।যেমনঃ There are 2.54 c.m. to an inch.
নিম্নের শব্দ গুলোর পর to বসে।
incline, harmful, beneficial, injurious, according, accustomed, add, admit, adjacent, affectionate, attend, bar, cling, belong, close, commit, common, known, confined, congenial, contrary, dedicate, devote, expose, exceptional, yeld, grateful, hostile, indebted, introduced, irrelevant, liable, loyal,object, prefer, preferable, senior,junior, superior,talk, inferior, prone, refer, reply, speak, lead, eager,willing.

In এর ব্যবহার
১।কোন বিষয় বা ভাষায় বুঝালে তার আগে in বসে। যেমনঃ in English, in Accounting, in Arabic.
২।বড় স্থান বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ We live in Dhaka.
৩।সময়ের ক্ষেত্রে ( মাস / বছর / ঋতুর নাম ) বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ We get freedom in December in 1971.
৪।ক্ষেত্র বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ I am unable to help you in this regard.
৫।অবস্থা বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ He is in a good health.
৬।বিবেচনা বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ You have to do it in your own interest.
৭।পেশার ক্ষেত্র বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ He has been in politics.
৮।মাধ্যম বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ You have to pay the bill in cash.
৯।অনুপাতের ক্ষেত্র বুঝাতে in বসে। যেমনঃ In England, one in three enters higher education.

নিম্নের শব্দ গুলোর পর in বসে।
expert, excel, indulge, succeed, believe, assist, interested, consist (নিহিত অর্থে), lie, encourage, grory, persist, rich, trade.

For এর ব্যবহার
১।সময়ের আগে ধরে / যাবৎ / ব্যাপিয়া বুঝাইতে for বসে। যেমনঃ It has been raining for two hours.
২।জন্য বুঝাইতে for বসে। যেমনঃ What can I do for you?
৩।সাহায্য অর্থে বুঝাইতে for বসে। যেমনঃ Would you please do it for me?
৪।কারন বুঝাইতে for বসে। যেমনঃ Rajshahi is famous for its mangoes.
৫।সমর্থন বুঝাইতে for বসে। যেমনঃ Are you for the proposal?
৬।মূল্য বুঝাইতে for বসে। যেমনঃI bought this pen for 20 taka.
৭।বিনিময় বুঝাইতে for বসে। যেমনঃ You will get a coupon for every 100 taka you pay.

নিম্নের শব্দ গুলোর পর for বসে।
compensate, ask, affection, appetite, bound, care, desire, long, fit, search, seek, thirst, zeal, zest.

From এর ব্যবহার
১। কারো নিকট হইতে অথবা কোন স্থান হইতে বুঝাইলে from বসে। যেমনঃ
আমার নিকট হইতে = from me.
ঢাকা থেকে = From Dhaka.
i. The man come from abroad. ii. Don’t get down from a running bus.
নিম্নের শব্দ গুলোর পর from বসে।
refrain, resist, obstrain, prohibited, protect, prevent, preserve, aloof, deferent, suffer.

Of এর ব্যবহার
১।সম্পর্ক বুঝাতে of বসে। যেমনঃ I know nothing of it.
২।অধিকার / মালিকানা বুঝাতে of বসে। যেমনঃ It is the house of Mr. Khan.

৩।Floor এর সংখ্যা বুঝাতে on বসে। যেমনঃ The office is on the 4th floor.
৪।সীমানার উপর বুঝাতে on বসে। যেমনঃ The Buriganga is on the south of Dhaka.
৫।বার / তারিখের পূর্বে এবং দিবসের আগে বুঝাতে on বসে। যেমনঃ He will come back on Sunday on the 5th May.
৬।সম্বন্ধে বুঝাতে on বসে। যেমনঃ He wrote an essay on the cow.
৭।নির্ভরতা বুঝাতে on বসে। যেমনঃ We live on rice.

৩। মাধ্যম বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ Nipu achieved success by determination.
৪।পথ অর্থে বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ I shall travel by road.
৫।শপথ নেয়া বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ I swear by almighty Allah.
৬।Passive Form-এ by বসে। যেমনঃ The work was done by me.
৭পরিমাপ বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ The room is 12 feet by 10 feet.
৮সময়(সুনির্দিষ্ট) বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ He will come back by 5 pm.
৯।হার বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ They are improving day by day.
১০।কারো সম্পর্কে জানতে অর্থ বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ He is an American by birth.
১১।যানবাহনে ভ্রমণ বুঝাতে by বসে। যেমনঃ We went to Khulna by bus.

Off-এর ব্যবহার
১: নির্দিষ্ট স্থান থেকে দূরে কিংবা সময়ের ব্যবধান বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: (a) I called him but he ran off. (b) Summer is not far off now.
২: কোনো কিছু দূরীভূত হয়েছে বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: (a) Take your shoes off. (b) He has had his beard shaved off.
৩: বন্ধ কিংবা বাতিল বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: The ceremony is off.
The switch of the fan has been made off.
৪: কর্ম থেকে দূরে বা ছুটি বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: (a) She is off today. (b) I have got three days off next week.

Into এর ব্যবহার
১।গতিশীলতা বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ The teacher entered into the class room.
২।অবস্থার পরিবর্তন বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ Water is changed into snow.
৩।সংঘর্ষ বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ The truck crashed into a parked car.
৪।সংখ্যায় ভাগ হওয়া বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ They were divided into three groups.
৫।নির্দেশ বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ Speak clearly into the microphone.

১।উপরে বুঝাতে above বসে। যেমনঃ The water came above our knees.
২।অবস্থান বুঝাতে above বসে। যেমনঃ The sun is above our head now.

Between এর ব্যবহার
১।দুইয়ের মধ্যে বুঝাতে between ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমনঃ i. He stood between his two brothers. ii.Divide the mango between two sisters.
