Latin comparatives তথা senior, junior, inferior, superior, prior, ulterior, posterior ইত্যাদির পর than না বসে to বসে।

♦♦Choose the right sentence -
a) He is senior than me for five years.
b) He is senior to me for five years.
c) He is senior from me five years.
d) He is senior at me for five years.

কিছু verb আছে তাদের পরে verb ব্যবহার করতে হলে infinitive (to+verb+word) ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
নিম্নের গল্পের মাধ্যমে মনে রাখা সহজঃ
প্রিয় মেহজাবিন,
বিশ্বাস কর আমি Promise করে বলছি যে,আমি শুধু তোমাকে ( Want) চাই।
তোমাকে আমার বড় প্রয়োজন( need).তুমি আমার বেঁচে থাকার সকল Hope.তোমার কাছে আমার Expect যে তুমি আমার offer এ Agree হবে।আমিDecide করেছি যে তোমার Wish অনুসারে তোমার সকল Demand পূরণ করব।সত্যি আমি pretend করছি না।এটা আমার Desire যে তোমারplan অনুসারে সবকিছু Arrange করব।তোমার যোগ্য হওয়ার জন্যে Deserve শুধু ট্রাই নয় strive করব।আমি hesitate নই বরং আমিDetermine এবং যত্নসহকারে tend (ঝোঁকে থাকব)।সবকিছু learn করব কখনো Failকরব না।এখন আমার মনে হয়(seem) তুমি কখনো আমাকে forget করতে পার না এবং refuse করতে পার না।তাই অবশ্যই তুমি আমার জন্য Wait. করবে।

♦Position of Noun
Article এবং Preposition/verb/adverb -এর মাঝে একটি মাত্র Word থাকলে সেটি Noun হবে। অর্থাৎ
1. Article+Noun+Preposition
ex. He kept the fast for a week. (এখানে fast -Noun)
This is the go of day. (এখানে go- Noun)
2. Article+Noun+Verb
ex: A drunk cannot drive a car properly.
(এখানে drunk -Noun)
3. Article+Noun+Adverb

যদি কোন উৎপন্ন পদার্থে পূর্বের গুণাগুণ অটুট থাকে তাহলে made of হয়। কিন্তু পূর্বের গুণাগুণ অটুট না থাকলে made from হয়।
a) The chair is made from wood. (Incorrect)
The chair is made of wood. (Correct)
b) Bread is made of wheat. (Incorrect)
Bread is made from wheat. (Correct)

Parts of Speech
♦Noun
Function and Position of Noun:
1.Noun এর প্রধান function বা কাজ হলো বাক্যে subject ও object হিসেবে কাজ করা।
2. Article- এর পর একটি মাত্র word থাকলে তা অবশ্যই Noun.
Ex. I walk for a while. (while এখানে Noun)
3.Possessive form- এর পর একটি মাত্র word থাকলে তা অবশ্যই Noun.
Ex. Try your best. (best এখানে Noun)
4. Preposition- এর পর একটি মাত্র word থাকলে তা অবশ্যই Noun.
Ex. It needs to be done with care. (care এখানে Noun)
