First session of the course officially done!! 15 more to go!!

At first, students were made aware of the rules and regulations of the course by our honourable head master Rasheda Akther Mam. Then our beloved trainer Shakhawat Hossain lectured the students about some introductory topics such as - what's a computer? How does it work? How did it come to its current form? What is programming? Why do we need to learn it? etc. And then the students under his instruction wrote their first ever code (Hello World!!!, of course) and they're obviously gonna remember that moment for a long long time. It's safe to say, Session 1 was an absolute success. We hope our members will carry the same enthusiasm and dedication for the rest of the course as well.

The International Programmer's Day is a professional day that is celebrated on the 256th (hexadecimal 100th, or the 2^8th) day of each year (September 13 during common years and on September 12 in leap years).

The number 256 (2^8) was chosen because it is the number of distinct values that can be represented with a byte, a value well known to programmers. 256 is also the highest power of two that is less than 365, the number of days in a common year.

Comilla Zilla School Informatics Society এর উদ্যোগে কুমিল্লা জিলা স্কুলের ছাত্রদের জন্য Competetive Programming এর উপর একটি কোর্স আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। কোর্সটি নেবেন আমাদের প্রাক্তন কোচ মোঃ সাখাওয়াত হোসেন। ২০১৪ সাল থেকে সাখাওয়াত ভাই কুমিল্লা জিলা স্কুল-এ প্রোগ্রামিং শিখালেও তিনি ঢাকা যাওয়ায় এবং কোরোনা সহ অন্যান্য কিছু কারণে ২০১৯ থেকে তিনি শিখানোর সুযোগ পাননি ।তবে এখন সবকিছু স্বাভাবিক হওয়ায় উনার মাধ্যমে আবার Competitive Programming-এর Basic-গুলো শিখানোর ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে ।উনি কোচ থাকাকালীন আমরা NHSPC,BDOI,ISCPC সহ বিভিন্ন প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতায় জাতীয় পর্যায় পুরস্কার অর্জন করেছি ।আগামী ১৬সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে তিনি CZSIS-এর মেম্বারদেরক প্রোগ্রামিং শিখানো শুরু করবেন । কোর্সের ফর্ম স্কুল এর অফিস থেকে সংগ্রহ করতে হবে ।

NB: যারা কোর্সটিতে অংশগ্রহণ করবে তারা Comilla Zilla School Informatics Society এর বর্তমান সেশনের মেম্বার হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।

We are so glad to announce that, EMK Center and Makerlab , in association with Comilla Zilla School Informatics Society-CZSIS, are organizing an informative program "Opportunities in Robotics and Programming" for the students of Comilla Zilla School. The speakers will introduce the skills one needs in order to have a successful career in these two fields. The speaker will also be sharing their insight on 4IR and future skills and how the students can prepare themselves for future jobs.

What’s a web browser?

A web browser is a computer program that allows users to download and view websites. Web browsers are available for desktop computers, tablets, and mobile phones.

The first widely used browser was Mosaic, created by researchers at the University of Illinois. The Mosaic team moved to California to found Netscape, which built the first commercially successful web browser in 1994.

Netscape’s popularity was soon eclipsed by Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, but an open source version of Netscape’s browser became the modern Firefox browser. Apple released its Safari browser in 2003, and Google released a browser called Chrome in 2008. By 2015, Chrome had grown to be the most popular web browser with a market share around 50 percent. Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari also had significant market share.
